A realistic parametrization of the freeze-out conditions is employed, which accurately reproduces the spectra of protons and pions. It also correctly predicts the deuteron yield, which agrees with experimental observations. However, the predicted yields of $^{3}$H and $^{3}$He are lower than the experimental results by approximately a factor of two. While the detectors were operated independently of the ATLAS triggering and acquisition scheme, continuous (dead-time free) measurement together with an orbit clock trigger allowed for synchronization with the LHC. The detectors benefit from a fine segmentation, a pixel pitch of 55 $$\\mu $$ m, and a per-pixel time resolution of 1.6 ns allowing for a high-quality track reconstruction and particle identification. One of the 500 $$\\mu $$ m thick silicon sensors was equipped with a $${}^{6}$$ LiF neutron converter, extending the particle identification capabilities. The installed system was used to study luminosity in different time frames: long term (run-by-run), short term (within a single run) and instantaneous (for each bunch crossing). For the long- and short-term luminosity, partly-independent algorithms: cluster and thermal neutron counting are proposed. A comprehensive analysis of the signal from induced radioactivity and its consecutive removal is presented together with a study demonstrating that the activation-corrected Timepix3 luminosity measurement provides good linearity with respect to the pile-up parameter $$\\mu $$ . For measurement of the instantaneous luminosity, a cluster classification scheme was employed to decompose the measured response to the colliding bunch signal. Selecting a subset of the cluster categories, the signal-to-background ratio was improved and the impact of delayed particles from previous bunches could be reduced. Comparisons performed to the primary bunch-by-bunch luminosity measurement of the ATLAS experiment, provided by the LUCID-2 Cherenkov detector, show a good Super-Kamiokande measured the precise time of each solar neutrino interaction over 22 calendar years to search for solar neutrino flux modulations with unprecedented precision. Periodic modulations are searched for in a dataset comprising five-day interval solar neutrino flux measurements with a maximum likelihood method. We also applied the Lomb-Scargle method to this dataset to compare it with previous reports. The only significant modulation found is due to the elliptic orbit of the Earth around the Sun. The observed modulation is consistent with astronomical data: we measured an eccentricity of <math><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>1.53</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.35</mn><mo>)</mo><mo>%</mo></mrow></math>, and a perihelion shift of (<math><mo>−</mo><mn>1.5</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>13.5</mn></math>) neutrinos can affect the evolution of the universe, and thus using the cosmological observations can search for sterile neutrinos. In this work, we use the cosmic microwave background anisotropy data from the Planck 2018 release, combined with the latest baryon acoustic oscillation, type Ia supernova, and Hubble constant data, to constrain the cosmological models with considering sterile neutrinos. In order to test the influences of the properties of dark energy on the results of searching for sterile neutrinos, in addition to the Λ cold dark matter (ΛCDM) model, we also consider the wCDM model and the holographic dark energy (HDE) model. We find that the existence of sterile neutrinos is not preferred when the <math><msub><mrow><mi>H</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msub></math> local measurement is not included in the data combination. When the <math><msub><mrow><mi>H</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msub></math> measurement is included in the joint constraints, it is found that <math><mi>Δ</mi><msub><mrow><mi>N</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>eff</mi></mrow></msub><mo>&gt;</mo><mn>0</mn></math> is favored at about 2.7σ level for the ΛCDM model and at about 1–1.7σ level for the wCDM model. However, <math><msubsup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>ν</mi><mo>,</mo><mrow><mi>sterile</mi></mrow></mrow><mrow><mi>eff</mi></mrow></msubsup></math> still cannot be well constrained and only upper limits can be given. In addition, we find that the HDE model is definitely ruled out by the current data. In this paper, we show that their calculation is flawed due to incorrect application of the definition of noncyclic geometric phase and the omission of one term in Wolfenstein effective Hamiltonian. Their results are neither gauge invariant nor lepton field rephasing invariant. We present an alternative calculation, which is solely in order to demonstrate that the Majorana CP-violating phase enters the geometric phase essentially by lepton field rephasing transformation. We point out that the seemingly nontrivial dependence of geometric phase on Majorana CP-violating phase presented in Capolupo et al. In particular, we analyze in detail four representative small-field inflationary potentials, namely Natural inflation, Hilltop inflation, Higgs-like inflation, and Exponential SUSY inflation, each characterized by two mass scales. We constrain the parameters for which a viable inflationary Universe emerges using the latest PLANCK results. Furthermore, we investigate whether or not those models in brane cosmology are consistent with the recently proposed Swampland Criteria, and give predictions for the duration of reheating as well as for the reheating temperature after inflation. Our results show that (i) the distance conjecture is satisfied, (ii) the de Sitter conjecture and its refined version may be avoided, and (iii) the allowed range for the five-dimensional Planck mass,  $$M_5$$  <math> <msub> <mi>M</mi> <mn>5</mn> </msub> </math>  , is found to be  $$10^5\\,\\text {TeV}\\lesssim M_5\\lesssim 10^{12}\\,\\text {TeV}$$  <math> <mrow> <msup> <mn>10</mn> <mn>5</mn> </msup> <mspace width=\"0.166667em\"></mspace> <mtext>TeV</mtext> <mo>≲</mo> <msub> <mi>M</mi> <mn>5</mn> </msub> <mo>≲</mo> <msup> <mn>10</mn> <mn>12</mn> </msup> <mspace width=\"0.166667em\"></mspace> <mtext>TeV</mtext> </mrow> </math>  .
