Production of Dirac Particles in External Electromagnetic Fields

Abstract: Pair creation of spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ particles in Minkowski spacetime is investigated by obtaining exact solutions of the Dirac equation in the presence of electromagnetic fields and using them for determining the Bogoliubov coefficients. The resulting particle creation number density depends on the strength of the electric and magnetic fields.
