Abstract: In this paper, the excited states of the $\varphi$ meson, especially containing the newly observed $X\left(2000\right)$ with $I\left({J}^{P}\right)=0\left({1}^{-}\right)$ by the BESIII Collaboration, is studied. In addition, $Y\left(2175\right)$ as a $\varphi$ meson excited state is investigated. The mass spectrum and strong decay behaviors of $\varphi$ meson excited states are analyzed, which indicates that $X\left(2000\right)$ and $Y\left(2175\right)$ are the candidates of $\varphi \left(3S\right)$ and $\varphi \left(2D\right)$ states with $I\left({J}^{P}\right)=0\left({1}^{-}\right)$, respectively. In addition, $\varphi \left(1D\right)$ and $\varphi \left(4S\right)$ are predicted to have the mass of 1.87 and 2.5 GeV and width of 440 and 940 MeV, respectively.
