We report the first dark matter search results using the commissioning data from PandaX-4T. Using a time projection chamber with 3.7 tonne of liquid xenon target and an exposure of , 1058 candidate events are identified within an approximate nuclear recoil energy window between 5 and 100 keV. No significant excess over background is observed. Our data set a stringent limit to the dark matter–nucleon spin-independent interactions, with a lowest excluded cross section (90% C.L.) of at a dark matter mass of .

"value": "We report the first dark matter search results using the commissioning data from PandaX-4T. Using a time projection chamber with 3.7 tonne of liquid xenon target and an exposure of <math><mrow><mn>0.63</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>tonne</mi><mo>\u00b7</mo><mi>year</mi></mrow></math>, 1058 candidate events are identified within an approximate nuclear recoil energy window between 5 and 100 keV. No significant excess over background is observed. Our data set a stringent limit to the dark matter\u2013nucleon spin-independent interactions, with a lowest excluded cross section (90% C.L.) of <math><mrow><mn>3.8</mn><mo>\u00d7</mo><msup><mrow><mn>10</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>\u2212</mo><mn>47</mn></mrow></msup><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><msup><mrow><mi>cm</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> at a dark matter mass of <math><mrow><mn>40</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi><mo>/</mo><msup><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math>."
