In this study, we investigate the possibility of enhancing the di-jet resonance searches by tagging the final state radiation (FSR) jet using an event-level deep neural network. It is found that solely relying on the 4-momenta of the leading three jets allows the algorithm to achieve good discriminating power that can identify the hardest FSR jet in the signal while rejecting other soft jets. Once the invariant mass is corrected with the tagged FSR jet, the mass resolution of the signal is greatly enhanced, and the sensitivity of the search is also improved by more than 10%. By crafting the input variables carefully, the algorithm introduces minimal mass sculpting for the background, and its applicability extends to a broad mass range. This work proves that FSR jet tagging can potentially enhance di-jet resonance searches, suiting various stages of the physics programmes at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC).

We investigated the effect of an isospin chemical potential ( $ \mu_{I} $ ) within the quark-meson model, which approximates quantum chromodynamics (QCD) by modeling low-energy phenomena such as chiral symmetry breaking and phase structure under varying conditions of temperature and chemical potential. Using the functional renormalization group (FRG) flow equations, we calculated the phase diagram in the chiral limit within the two-flavor quark-meson model in a finite $ \mu_{I} $ with $\textit{ρ}$ vector meson interactions. Fluctuation effects significantly decrease the critical chemical potential from the mean-field (MF) value $\mu_{I,{\rm MF}} \gt m_\rho$ to a lower value at which the $\textit{ρ}$ vector meson condensates alongside the chiral condensate once the isospin chemical potential exceeds the critical value $ \mu_{I}^{{\rm{crit}}} $ . This $\textit{ρ}$ condensation was investigated numerically for different meson coupling strengths. The $\textit{ρ}$ meson dominated region is delineated from other phases by a second-order phase transition at lower $ \mu_{I} $ and a first-order transition at slightly higher $ \mu_{I} $ .

Rapidity asymmetry of jet-hadron correlation has been proposed as a robust signal of dijet‐induced diffusion wake in quark-gluon plasma in high‐energy heavy-ion collisions. We generalize this observable to other jet configurations such as <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><mi>γ</mi><mo>/</mo><msup><mi>Z</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></mrow></math> jets and propose a new method to compute the rapidity asymmetry that is free of background. In this new method, the rapidity of the trigger is fixed or restricted to a symmetrical range while the rapidity of the associated jet is varied. The rapidity asymmetry is defined as the difference between the hadron rapidity distribution in the opposite azimuthal direction of the jet (or the same direction of the trigger) with different associated jet rapidities. Since the background in this hadron rapidity distribution with different associated jet rapidity is identical, it will be completely canceled in the rapidity asymmetry. Such background-free rapidity asymmetry caused by jet-induced diffusion wake is demonstrated in CoLBT-hydro simulations of dijets and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>γ</mi></math>-jets in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><mi>Pb</mi><mo>+</mo><mi>Pb</mi></mrow></math> collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider, which weakens as hadron <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msub><mi>p</mi><mi>T</mi></msub></math> increases, and subtraction of a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><mi>p</mi><mo>+</mo><mi>p</mi></mrow></math> baseline has a negligible effect.

Background-free signal of a jet-induced diffusion wake in quark-gluon plasma

We propose a unified framework within type IIA string theory, based on a globally consistent intersecting D6-brane model compactified on a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>T</mi><mn>6</mn></msup><mo>/</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><msub><mi mathvariant="double-struck">Z</mi><mn>2</mn></msub><mo>×</mo><msub><mi mathvariant="double-struck">Z</mi><mn>2</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> orientifold. The model realizes the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model-like spectrum providing a framework for addressing four fundamental problems: <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> violation originates from both geometric phases in Yukawa couplings and nonperturbative phases induced by E2-instantons; the observed baryon asymmetry arises via instanton-mediated operators combined with moduli-driven leptogenesis; the electroweak hierarchy is stabilized through controlled supersymmetry breaking with a TeV-scale gravitino mass near a metastable vacuum; and a de Sitter uplift is achieved via anti-D6-branes in an STU moduli stabilization scheme. Crucially, the interplay of intersecting brane geometry, Euclidean D2-instantons, and flux-induced moduli potentials provides a coherent mechanism linking collider, flavor, and cosmological phenomena.

Global type IIA vacuum: A unified model for the standard model and cosmology

In this work, we investigate the decay and production properties of the strange double-charm pentaquark <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi><mi>s</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mo>+</mo></mrow></msubsup></math> with strangeness <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>S</mi><mo>=</mo><mo>−</mo><mn>1</mn></math>. Building upon our previous work predicting its <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>J</mi><mi>P</mi></msup><mo>=</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup></math> molecular configuration, we employ three-point QCD sum rules to calculate its strong decay widths and estimate its production branching ratio via <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mrow><mi>b</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow><mo>+</mo></msubsup></math> baryon decays. The total strong decay width to the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub><mi>π</mi></math> final-state channels is determined as <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>85</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>19</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>MeV</mi></math>. Decay and production properties of a strange double-charm pentaquark

We introduce a novel mechanism – Magnetically Arrested Transmutation (MAT) – which could be a viable model to account for the observed over-representation of $\textit{magnetic}$ white dwarfs (WDs) near the Galactic centre (GC), and the presence of a magnetar as opposed to the absence of ordinary pulsars in the same region. In this scenario, compact stars accumulate asymmetric or non-self-annihilating dark matter particles, eventually forming an endoparasitic black hole (EBH) of initial mass $$M_0$$ at their core. Although such EBHs generally grow by accreting host matter, we show that sufficiently strong core magnetic fields can establish pressure equilibrium, thereby stalling further accretion and halting the star’s transmutation into a black hole. We derive the conditions for this MAT to occur, identifying a critical parameter $$\beta ,$$ that encapsulates the interplay between the magnetic field strength, host matter density, and EBH mass. For $$0 < \beta \le 4/27,$$ the growth of the EBH is arrested, limiting its final mass $$(M_{\textrm{f}})$$ to $$M_0 <M_{\textrm{f}} \le 3/2M_0,$$ whereas for $$\beta > 4/27,$$ full transmutation may ensue. We argue that highly magnetized WDs may survive near the GC due to the MAT mechanism, as do high-spin ordinary WDs, despite hosting a central EBH. We also speculate a possibility that the magnetar PSR J1745–2900 survives near the GC due to the MAT mechanism. Overall, the MAT framework may explain an elevated population of magnetic WDs in dense dark matter environments, and hence could be tested and should have implications for understanding dark matter and compact objects.

Magnetically arrested transmutation of a compact star

We show that quartic modifications of relativistic dispersion relations arise generically from deformation-quantized phase spaces under minimal kinematical assumptions relevant to quantum gravity. When the kinematics admits an integral symplectic structure, a compatible almost-complex structure, and a gauge-invariant two-form sector, the leading Planck-scale correction is controlled by a single geometric length scale. We establish this result through three independent approaches: Fedosov-Berezin quantization, spectral geometry, and a topos-theoretic formulation, all of which yield the same quartic correction and clarify the origin of its apparent universality.

A symplectic geometric origin of universal quartic modified dispersion relations

We propose a field-theoretic framework for ideal hydrodynamics of charged relativistic fluids formulated in terms of a complex scalar field defined on a spacelike hypersurface comoving with the fluid. In the normal phase, the dynamics of charge-carrying fluids is constrained by the restrictive chemical shift symmetry, which locks charges to fixed positions in the comoving plane as they are transported through space by the fluid’s motion. On the other hand, in the superfluid phase, the chemical shift symmetry is relaxed to a constant shift, allowing charges to redistribute freely across the comoving hypersurface. We demonstrate that both models recover the respective nonlinear hydrodynamic equations and provide explicit expressions for the collective variables of hydrodynamics in terms of the theory’s fields. Introduced models provide a UV completion to the effective field theories of hydrodynamics constructed in terms of the Goldstone fields. Finally, we propose a relativistic fracton fluid phase as a natural interpolation between the normal and superfluid phases, in which the mobility of elementary charges is constrained by a linear shift symmetry in the comoving space.

A complex scalar field theory for charged fluids, superfluids, and fracton fluids

We develop a twistor-space framework to compute boundary correlators via a boundary limit of nested Penrose transforms in (A)dS . Starting from correlators of (anti-)self-dual bulk fields, the boundary limit reproduces the correlators of the dual conserved currents; we demonstrate this explicitly for two- and three-point functions. The two-point correlator is rendered finite by working in Euclidean signature. At three points, we obtain compact rational twistor-space representatives obeying a double-copy relation, thereby clarifying the twistor-space origin of the results in . We further extend the analysis to non-conserved currents with integer conformal dimension, dual to massive bulk fields, as well as to the free scalar.

Spinning boundary correlators from (A)dS4 twistors

We propose a flavor model based on an <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>A</mi><mn>4</mn></msub></math> symmetry combined with a type-II seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass generation. The resulting neutrino mass matrix obeys a sum rule that, together with the measured mass-squared differences, fully determines the absolute neutrino mass spectrum. The constrained flavor structure yields correlated predictions for lepton mixing parameters, leads to inverted ordering after imposing mixing constraints, restricts the Majorana phases and implies a neutrinoless double beta decay rate close to its maximal value for inverted ordering. In the charged lepton sector an approximate triality symmetry arises in the seesaw limit, suppressing muon flavor-violating processes and allowing only specific <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>τ</mi></math> decay channels. The model provides a tightly constrained and experimentally testable framework linking neutrino masses, lepton mixing, and lepton-number-violating observables.
