In this paper, we have studied the consequences of some representative neutrino flavor-symmetry models for tri-resonant leptogenesis (which is realized by having three nearly degenerate right-handed neutrinos). To be specific, we have considered a neutrino flavor-symmetry model realizing the TM1 mixing and modular $$\textrm{A}_4$$ , $$\textrm{S}_4$$ and $$\textrm{A}_5$$ symmetry models that have a right-handed neutrino mass matrix $$M_{\textrm{R}}$$ as shown in Eq. (6) which gives three exactly degenerate right-handed neutrino masses and consequently prohibits the leptogenesis mechanism to work successfully. For these models, we study the scenario that the desired right-handed neutrino mass splittings for leptogenesis to work are generated from the renormalization-group running effects. In such a scenario, we explore the parameter space that allows for the reproduction of the observed baryon-antibaryon asymmetry of the Universe.

Renormalization group running triggered tri-resonant leptogenesis within neutrino flavor-symmetry models

Based on a sample of $2.7\times10^{9}$ $\psi(3686)$ events collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the decay $\psi(3686)\to\gamma\chi_{cJ}, \chi_{cJ}\to\eta\eta\eta^{\prime}$ is analyzed. The decay modes $\chi_{c1}$ and $\chi_{c2}\to\eta\eta\eta^{\prime}$ are observed for the first time, and their corresponding branching fractions are determined to be ${\cal{B}}(\chi_{c1}\to\eta\eta\eta^{\prime}) = $ $ (1.40\, \pm 0.13\, (\text{stat.}) \pm 0.09\, (\text{sys.})) \times 10^{-4}$ and ${\cal{B}}(\chi_{c2}\to\eta\eta\eta^{\prime}) = (4.18\, \pm 0.84\, (\text{stat.}) \pm 0.48\, (\text{sys.})) \times 10^{-5}$ . An upper limit on the branching fraction of $\chi_{c0}\to\eta\eta\eta^{\prime}$ is set as $2.59 \times 10^{-5}$ at a 90% confidence level (CL). A partial wave analysis (PWA) of the decay $\chi_{c1}\to\eta\eta\eta^{\prime}$ is performed to search for the $1^{-+}$ exotic state $\eta_1(1855)$ . The PWA result indicates that the structure in the $\eta\eta^{\prime}$ mass spectrum is attributed to $f_0(1500)$ , while in the $\eta\eta$ mass spectrum, it is attributed to the $0^{++}$ phase space. The upper limit of ${\cal{B}}(\chi_{c1}\to\eta_{1}(1855)\eta) \cdot {\cal{B}}(\eta_{1}(1855)\to\eta\eta^{\prime}) \lt $ $ 9.79 \times 10^{-5}$ is set based on the PWA at 90% CL.

We study the pole trajectory of the recently established subthreshold negative-parity nucleon pole, namely the $N^*(920)$ , with varying pion masses in the scheme of linear $\textit{σ}$ model with nucleons, using the $N/D$ unitarization method. We find that, as the pion mass increases, the pole moves toward the real axis. For larger pion masses, at tree level, the pole falls to a specific point on $\textit{u}$-channel cut and crosses to the adjacent Riemann sheet defined by the logarithmic $\textit{u-}$channel cut. At the one-loop level, the pole does not meet the $\textit{u}$-cut up to $m_\pi=0.36$ GeV. We also re-examined the $\textit{σ}$ pole trajectory and found it to be in good agreement with the Roy equation analysis result.

We study the renormalization group running of the coupling constants in a minimal leptophilic dark matter model in which a Standard Model singlet fermion, acting as the dark matter (DM) candidate, couples exclusively to right-handed charged leptons via a new charged scalar mediator. Reproduction of the observed thermal relic abundance of the DM candidate requires sizable Yukawa couplings, and such sizable Yukawa couplings can significantly affect the renormalization group evolution of the model parameters. We examine the conditions that the model remains perturbative and the vacuum stability is maintained up to high-energy scales. We find that the parameter space is severely constrained to ensure the perturbativity and the vacuum stability up to the Planck scale. In particular, the masses of the dark matter and the charged scalar mediator should be smaller than about 350 GeV and can be tested by future collider experiments. The lower bound of the dark matter mass that is larger than a few GeV is also obtained by perturbativity.

Renormalization group running of the minimal leptophilic dark matter model toward a UV completion

The development of tensor renormalization group (TRG) algorithm in higher dimensions is an important and urgent task, as the TRG is expected to provide a way to overcome the sign problem in lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) calculations at finite density. One possible approach that enables faster computations in four-dimensional lattice theories is the anisotropic tensor renormalization group (ATRG). However, the computational cost remains substantial and requires significant computational resources. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm, called the triad-ATRG, which is based on the ATRG and other improved TRG variants with triad network representation. This method achieves lower scaling with respect to the bond dimension, while minimizing the loss of accuracy in the free energy and other physical quantities. We also present parallel implementations of both the ATRG and triad-ATRG on multiple GPUs, which significantly improve performance compared to CPU-based calculations for the four-dimensional system.

Triad representation for the anisotropic tensor renormalization group in four dimensions

The intense photon fluxes from relativistic nuclei provide an opportunity to study photonuclear interactions in ultraperipheral collisions. In particular, it allows for the investigations of excited, light-flavour vector mesons. The measurement of coherently photoproduced <math altimg='si6.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup></mrow></math> final states in ultraperipheral Pb&#8211;Pb collisions at <math altimg='si7.svg'><mrow><msqrt><msub><mi>s</mi><mtext>NN</mtext></msub></msqrt><mspace width='0.33em' /><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>=</mo><mspace width='0.33em' /><mn>5.02</mn></mrow></math> TeV is presented for the first time. The cross section, d <italic>&#963;</italic>/d <italic>y</italic>, times the branching ratio ( <math altimg='si8.svg'><mrow><mi>&#961;</mi><mo>&#8594;</mo><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#960;</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup></mrow></math>) is found to be 47.8&#8239;&#177;&#8239;2.3&#8201;(stat.)&#8239;&#177;&#8239;7.7&#8201;(syst.) mb in the rapidity interval | <italic>y</italic>|&#8239;&lt;&#8239;0.5. The invariant mass distribution is not well described with a single Breit-Wigner resonance without an interference term. Including interference with a non-resonant contribution results in the mass and width values being too far from those reported in PDG, while the production of two interfering resonances, <italic>&#961;</italic>(1450) and <italic>&#961;</italic>(1700), also provides a good description of the data.
