The decay <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>B</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msubsup><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo></mrow></msubsup><msubsup><mrow><mover accent="true"><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></mrow><mrow><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mrow></mover></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo></mrow></msubsup><msubsup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msubsup></mrow></math> is studied at LHCb for the first time using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msqrt><mi>s</mi></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>13</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>TeV</mi></math>, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>5.4</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><msup><mi>fb</mi><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>1</mn></mrow></msup></math>. Evidence is found for contributions from two resonant states, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2923</mn><msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>+</mo></msup></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2939</mn><msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>+</mo></msup></math>, in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>K</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi><mn>0</mn></msubsup></math> system. The two states show a significance of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>3.9</mn><mi>σ</mi></math> relative to the nonresonant hypothesis. These two <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup></math> states are consistent with being the isospin partners of the states observed in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> system.

Study of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>B</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msubsup><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo></mrow></msubsup><msubsup><mrow><mover accent="true"><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></mrow><mrow><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mrow></mover></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo></mrow></msubsup><msubsup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>S</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msubsup></mrow></math> decay

We investigate the decays of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi></math> mesons, i.e., <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>B</mi><mi>d</mi></msub></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>B</mi><mi>s</mi></msub></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></math>, and their antiparticles, to two light vector mesons (<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msub><mi>V</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><msub><mi>V</mi><mn>2</mn></msub></math>). We use the SU(2) <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>U</mi></math>-spin symmetry, which relates <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mi>S</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>0</mn></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mi>S</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>1</mn></math> decay amplitudes through the interchange <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>d</mi><mo stretchy="false">↔</mo><mi>s</mi></math> and is an approximate symmetry of the Standard Model (SM), to relate the helicity amplitudes of these decays. Treating all the helicity amplitudes for these decays, and, hence, the reduced matrix elements, as free parameters, we find an acceptable solution within the SM, although this is driven by the fact that the number of observables is smaller than what is needed for a meaningful fit. To reduce the number of free parameters, we then use some apparently reasonable and theoretically motivated approximations, like the dominance of factorizable contributions over the nonfactorizable ones and, hence, a distinct hierarchy between the helicity amplitudes. We find that once the assumption of hierarchy is imposed, there is no solution, both in the exact <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>U</mi></math>-spin limit as well as when substantial <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>U</mi></math>-spin breaking is allowed for. The tension is primarily driven by the longitudinal polarization fractions in almost all <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mi>S</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>1</mn></math> decays, which are significantly smaller than the corresponding theoretical predictions based on the SM and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>U</mi></math>-spin symmetry. This is particularly true for <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>B</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi>K</mi><mrow><mo>*</mo><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mover accent="true"><msup><mi>K</mi><mrow><mo>*</mo><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="true">¯</mo></mover></math>, for which the individual disagreement with <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>U</mi></math>-spin-based expectation is more than <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>7</mn><mi>σ</mi></math>. Within the SM framework, the only effective resolution would be to entirely disregard the hierarchy between the longitudinal and transverse helicity amplitudes in the heavy-quark limit, as dictated by naive factorization, implying that there must be large nonfactorizable contributions to all these decay amplitudes. We also explore whether some new physics in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>b</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>s</mi></math> sector that does not respect the hierarchy among the helicity amplitudes can reduce the tension for all the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mi>S</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>1</mn></math> modes. While the answer is partially in the affirmative, we find that, for simplistic new physics scenarios, the tension still exists and the fit remains poor enough, if the hierarchy exists among the SM amplitudes. Some possible scenarios for a complete solution of the puzzle are also suggested.

Polarization fractions in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msub><mi>V</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><msub><mi>V</mi><mn>2</mn></msub></math>: <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>U</mi></math>-spin constraints and new physics signatures

In the present work, we studied the $$T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^f(2750)$$ state production through the meson loop mechanism in the $$B^+$$ meson decays, where $$T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^f(2750)$$ is considered as a $$\bar{D}K^*$$ molecular state with $$J^P=1^+$$ . By employing the effective Lagrangian approach, we estimated the branching ratio of the $$B^+ \rightarrow D^+ T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^{f}(2750)$$ and $$B^+ \rightarrow D^{*+} T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^f(2750)$$ processes and found them to be on the order of $$10^{-5}\sim 10^{-4}$$ . The fit fraction of $$T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^f(2750)$$ in different processes was also estimated. We propose to search for $$T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^f(2750)$$ in the $$B^+ \rightarrow D^{*+}\bar{D}^{*-}K^+$$ process, which should be accessible to the Belle II and LHCb Collaborations.

$$T_{\bar{c}\bar{s}1}^f(2750)$$ production in the $$B^+$$ decays processes

This paper presents a study of the charmless three-body decays $$ {B}_{(s)}^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{h}^{+}h{\prime}^{-} $$ (where $\textit{h}$ $\textit{′}$ = $\textit{π, K}$), using a sample of $\textit{pp}$ collision data collected by the LHCb experiment during Runs 1 and 2 of the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb . The decay $$ {B}_s^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{K}^{+}{K}^{-} $$ is observed for the first time, and the following ratios of branching fractions are measured:

Improved branching-fraction measurements of $$ {B}_{(s)}^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{h}^{+}h{\prime}^{-} $$ decays and first observation of $$ {B}_s^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{K}^{+}{K}^{-} $$

We study a $\textit{U}$ (1) extension of the Standard Model (SM) in which Dirac neutrino masses are generated radiatively at the one-loop level through the exchange of new beyond the SM fields. This framework establishes a direct connection between neutrino mass generation and the dark sector, with the stability of the dark matter ensured by a residual discrete $$ {\mathcal{Z}}_6 $$ symmetry arising from the spontaneous breaking of $\textit{U}$ (1) . We investigate the resulting charged lepton flavor violating processes and dark matter phenomenology, saturating relic observations and direct-detection constraints, and analyze the collider signatures of the dark sector at the Large Hadron Collider, its proposed high luminosity extension and at a future muon collider. We have identified excellent prospects for observing the considered dark matter candidates in these colliders, even with lower integrated luminosities than the proposed one.

The full set of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math>-averaged and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math>-asymmetric angular observables is determined in bins of the invariant mass squared of the dimuon system, as well as the branching fraction relative to the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>B</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mrow><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi></mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mrow><mi>μ</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo></mrow></msup><msup><mrow><mi>μ</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><msup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo></mrow></msup><msup><mrow><mi>π</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo></mrow></msup></mrow></math> decay. For the first time, the full set of observables pertaining to the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> S-wave contribution to the final state are presented and consideration is given to effects arising from the mass of the muons. The extracted <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math>-asymmetry observables show no significant deviations from zero. The measurements of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math>-averaged observables and the branching fractions continue to exhibit the pattern of tensions with the standard model predictions that have been seen in previous analyses that use part of the dataset considered in this Letter.

In addition, the same dataset is used to measure the relative production fraction ratios with the charmonium decay channels [<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>B</mi><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>s</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>X</mi><mrow><mi>J</mi><mo stretchy="false">/</mo><mi>ψ</mi></mrow></math> with <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>X</mi></math> indicating a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>*</mo></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>892</mn></mrow><msup><mrow><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math>, or <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ϕ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1020</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> meson] where the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo stretchy="false">/</mo><mi>ψ</mi></math> meson decays into a pair of muons. The open-charm results are used to normalize the relative production fraction ratios obtained from the charmonium samples. Measurements of the ratios of branching fractions of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi></math> meson decays to charmonium and open-charm final states are also reported, which will improve the world-average values of these ratios. Finally, we test isospin invariance in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi></math> meson production in proton-proton collisions and observe that it holds within the experimental precision.
