Using data samples of 102 million <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">ϒ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> events and 158 million <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">ϒ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> events collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> collider, we search for <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">[</mo><mi>u</mi><mi>d</mi><mi>s</mi><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mo stretchy="false">]</mo></math> pentaquark states decaying to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></math>. Using the first observations of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">ϒ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mi>S</mi><mo>,</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> inclusive decays to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></math>, we find evidence of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>s</mi></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4459</mn><msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mn>0</mn></msup></math> state with a local significance of 3.3 standard deviations, including statistical and systematic uncertainties. We measure the mass and width of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>s</mi></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4459</mn><msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mn>0</mn></msup></math> to be <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4471.7</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>4.8</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.6</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>MeV</mi><mo>/</mo><msup><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>22</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>13</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>3</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>MeV</mi></math>, respectively. We measure the time-integrated <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> asymmetry in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>D</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msubsup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msubsup><msubsup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msubsup></mrow></math> decays reconstructed in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></mrow></math> events collected by the Belle and Belle II experiments. The corresponding data samples have integrated luminosities of 980 and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>428</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><msup><mi>fb</mi><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>1</mn></mrow></msup></math>, respectively. To infer the flavor of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></math> meson, we exploit the correlation between the flavor of the reconstructed decay and the electric charges of particles reconstructed in the rest of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></mrow><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></mrow></math> event. This results in a sample which is independent from any other previously used at Belle or Belle II. The result, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msub><mrow><mi>A</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><msup><mrow><mi>D</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msubsup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msubsup><msubsup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1.3</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>2.0</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.2</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>%</mo></mrow></math>, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic, is consistent with previous determinations and with <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> symmetry.

The discovery of numerous new hadrons over the past two decades has provided unprecedented opportunities to understand the nonperturbative QCD and hadron structure. The hadronic molecule picture plays an important role in explaining these new hadrons and enriching the configurations of exotic hadronic states. In this Letter, using the model-independent <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>D</mi><mi>K</mi></math> potential extracted from the relevant experimental data, a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>J</mi><mrow><mi>P</mi><mi>C</mi></mrow></msup><mo>=</mo><msup><mn>0</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mo>−</mo></mrow></msup></math> <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>s</mi></msub><mi>D</mi><mi>K</mi></math> three-body hadronic molecule is predicted with a mass of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msubsup><mrow><mn>4310</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>24</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>14</mn></mrow></msubsup><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>MeV</mi></mrow></math>. This state shows decoupling to conventional <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> charmonia or the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>s</mi></msub><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mi>s</mi><mn>0</mn></mrow><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2317</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> two-body molecular state. It can be regarded as a compelling three-body hadronic molecular candidate. We further demonstrate that the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mo>*</mo><mo>±</mo></mrow></msup><msup><mi>D</mi><mo>∓</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></math> decays could be promising channels for searching for the predicted state in future high-luminosity LHCb runs.

Research on singly-heavy baryons, especially those with a charm quark, offers a distinct perspective on the non-perturbative behavior of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). In this work, we investigate the recently observed <math altimg='si1.svg'><msub><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#937;</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub><msup><mrow><mo stretchy='false'>(</mo><mn>3185</mn><mo stretchy='false'>)</mo></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></math> and <math altimg='si2.svg'><msub><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#937;</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub><msup><mrow><mo stretchy='false'>(</mo><mn>3327</mn><mo stretchy='false'>)</mo></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></math> as singly-charmed baryons within the framework of the quark-diquark model. By employing a non-relativistic method with a Cornell-like potential, we systematically determine magnetic moments and mass spectra. Our analysis reveals that the <math altimg='si1.svg'><msub><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#937;</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub><msup><mrow><mo stretchy='false'>(</mo><mn>3185</mn><mo stretchy='false'>)</mo></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></math> can be effectively described as a 2 <italic>S</italic> state with quantum numbers <math altimg='si146.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>J</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>P</mi></mrow></msup><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>=</mo><msup><mrow><mfrac><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></mfrac></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math> or <math altimg='si4.svg'><msup><mrow><mfrac><mrow><mn>3</mn></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></mfrac></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math>, or alternatively as a 1 <italic>P</italic> state with <math altimg='si5.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>J</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>P</mi></mrow></msup><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>=</mo><msup><mrow><mfrac><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></mfrac></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>&#8722;</mo></mrow></msup></math> or <math altimg='si6.svg'><msup><mrow><mfrac><mrow><mn>3</mn></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></mfrac></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>&#8722;</mo></mrow></msup></math>, depending on the diquark configuration. Similarly, the <math altimg='si2.svg'><msub><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#937;</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub><msup><mrow><mo stretchy='false'>(</mo><mn>3327</mn><mo stretchy='false'>)</mo></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></math> is consistent with a 2 <italic>S</italic> configuration. We also investigate their magnetic moments, emphasizing the critical role of diquark correlations in shaping the electromagnetic properties of these states. Our results not only validate existing theoretical models but also offer new insights into the nature of singly-heavy baryons, setting the stage for future experimental and theoretical investigations in heavy baryon spectroscopy. This paper emphasizes the importance of diquark configurations in elucidating the mass spectrum and electromagnetic characteristics of singly-charmed baryons, aiding in the broader effort to decipher QCD intricacies.

Mass spectrum and magnetic moments of singly-charmed baryons: A quark-diquark model analysis of Ω <inf><italic>c</italic></inf>(3185) 0 and &#937; <inf><italic>c</italic></inf>(3327) 0

The semi-leptonic $\textit{b}$ → $\textit{clν}$ processes are receiving a lot of attention, as the lepton flavor universality (LFU) violation has been hinted by the measured ratios $$ {R}_{D^{\left(\ast \right)}} $$ = Γ($\textit{B}$ → $\textit{D}$ $\textit{τν}$)/Γ($\textit{B}$ → $\textit{D}$ $\textit{ℓν}$) for $\textit{ℓ}$ = $\textit{e}$, $\textit{μ}$. Recently, it has also been pointed out that the baryonic counterpart, $$ {R}_{\Lambda_c} $$ = Γ(Λ → Λ $\textit{τν}$)/Γ(Λ → Λ $\textit{ℓν}$), has a strong correlation with $$ {R}_{D^{\left(\ast \right)}} $$ , referred to as the $\textit{R}$ ratio sum rule in this paper. The correlation is almost independent of the new physics (NP) implication and hence can predict $$ {R}_{\Lambda_c} $$ from the measured $$ {R}_{D^{\left(\ast \right)}} $$ . On the other hand, we have fewer measurements and/or theoretical studies of the semi-leptonic $\textit{b}$ → $\textit{ulν}$ processes, although the same arguments can be applied to the ratios $\textit{R}$ , $\textit{R}$ , and $\textit{R}$ as above. Since these processes are measurable at the ongoing LHCb run-3 and/or Belle II experiments, precise studies on them are important as well. In this paper, we obtain the semi-analytic formulae for all the aforementioned $\textit{R}$ ratios in the presence of NP contributions by using the available lattice QCD and/or light-cone sum rule fits to the form factors. Two novel points are highlighted: (i) We evaluate uncertainties of $\textit{R}$ including both the Standard Model (SM) and NP terms, inherited from the form factor fits, and discuss how the uncertainties affect the $\textit{R}$ ratio sum rules. (ii) We obtain the $\textit{R}$ ratio sum rule among the semi-leptonic $\textit{b}$ → $\textit{ulν}$ processes for the first time, which provides a complementary motivation for observing these processes. In addition, based on our numerical results, we investigate how the different NP scenarios work in the $\textit{b}$ → $\textit{c}$ and $\textit{b}$ → $\textit{u}$ sectors and perform a combined study in the framework of SM effective field theory with specific flavor symmetries.

On sum rules for semi-leptonic $\textit{b}$ → $\textit{c}$ and $\textit{b}$ → $\textit{u}$ decays

This paper presents the multiplicity of neutral and charged hadrons produced in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mn>90</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>c</mi></mrow></math> proton-carbon interactions from a dataset taken by the NA61/SHINE experiment in 2017. Particle identification via <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">d</mi><mi>E</mi><mo>/</mo><mi mathvariant="normal">d</mi><mi>x</mi></math> was performed for the charged hadrons <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>±</mo></msup></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>±</mo></msup></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>p</mi><mo>/</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math>; the neutral hadrons <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>K</mi><mi>S</mi><mn>0</mn></msubsup></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mover accent="true"><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> were identified via an invariant mass analysis of their decays to charged hadrons. Double-differential multiplicity results as a function of laboratory momentum and polar angle are presented for each particle species; these results provide vital constraints on the predicted neutrino beam flux for current and future long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments.
