Mass and full width of the heavy scalar molecule <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">M</mi></math> composed of the mesons <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math> are calculated in the QCD sum rule framework. To find its mass and current coupling, we apply the two-point sum rule method. The width of the hadronic molecule <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">M</mi><mo>=</mo><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math> is evaluated by taking into account its dissociation to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>η</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><msub><mi>η</mi><mi>b</mi></msub><mo>,</mo><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">ϒ</mi></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math> mesons. Decays into <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>D</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi></math> meson pairs with appropriate charges and quantum numbers triggered by <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mover accent="true"><mi>b</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>b</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>c</mi></math> annihilations to light quark-antiquarks are also included in the analyses. Because the partial widths of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">M</mi></math> molecule’s decay channels depend on the strong couplings at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">M</mi></math>-meson-meson vertices, we estimate them by invoking tools of the three-point sum rule method. Our predictions <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>m</mi><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>12725</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>85</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>MeV</mi></mrow></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Γ</mi><mo stretchy="false">[</mo><mi mathvariant="script">M</mi><mo stretchy="false">]</mo><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>155</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>23</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>MeV</mi></mrow></math> for the parameters of the molecule <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi mathvariant="script">M</mi></mrow></math> provide useful information for experimental studies of numerous heavy resonances.

Heavy scalar molecule <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>B</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math>

In this work, we study the nonleptonic decays $$\Xi _{cc}^{++}\rightarrow \Xi _{c}^{(\prime )+}\pi ^{+}$$ with considering $$\Xi _{c}-\Xi _{c}^{\prime }$$ mixing. The relevant decay amplitudes are evaluated within the framework of nonrelativistic quark model, combining the baryon spatial wave functions adopted from solving the Schrödinger equation with a nonrelativistic potential. With the mixing angle ranging $$\theta \in (-18.2^{\circ },-14.3^{\circ }),$$ we successfully reproduce the measured ratio $$R={\mathcal {B}}[\Xi _{cc}^{++}\rightarrow \Xi _{c}^{\prime +}\pi ^{+}]/{\mathcal {B}}[\Xi _{cc}^{++}\rightarrow \Xi _{c}^{+}\pi ^{+}]$$ reported by the LHCb Collaboration. Furthermore, we estimate the branching fractions as $${\mathcal {B}}[\Xi _{cc}^{++}\rightarrow \Xi _{c}^{+}\pi ^{+}]=(3.2\sim 4.3)\%$$ and $${\mathcal {B}}[\Xi _{cc}^{++}\rightarrow \Xi _{c}^{\prime +}\pi ^{+}]=(4.2\sim 6.0)\%,$$ and the asymmetry parameters as $$\alpha [\Xi _{cc}^{++}\rightarrow \Xi _{c}^{+}\pi ^{+}]=(-0.80\sim -0.81)$$ and $$\alpha [\Xi _{cc}^{++}\rightarrow \Xi _{c}^{\prime +}\pi ^{+}]=(-0.61\sim -0.62).$$ The measurements of absolute branching fractions and asymmetry parameters by the ongoing LHCb and Belle II experiments will be helpful for further testing our numerical results and confirming the mixing angle.

The photoproduction of doubly charmed tetraquark <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub></math> is predicted through the resolved channel <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>γ</mi><mo>+</mo><mi>g</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mo stretchy="false">⟨</mo><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">⟩</mo><mo stretchy="false">[</mo><mi>n</mi><mo stretchy="false">]</mo><mo>+</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mo>+</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub><mo>+</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mo>+</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> at ILC and CLIC. At <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> colliders, the initial photons <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>γ</mi></math> can be produced from two primary sources, well-delineated within the Weizäcker Williams approximation (WWA) and the laser backscattering (LBS). And the initial gluon can be emitted from the photon. The spin and color quantum number [<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>n</mi></math>] of the intermediate diquark configuration can be <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mo stretchy="false">⟨</mo><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">⟩</mo><mo stretchy="false">[</mo><msub><mrow><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi>S</mi></mrow><mprescripts></mprescripts><none></none><mrow><mn>3</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts></mrow><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow></msub><msub><mrow><mo stretchy="false">]</mo></mrow><mrow><mover accent="true"><mrow><mn>3</mn></mrow><mrow><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mrow></mover></mrow></msub></mrow></math>. Then its nonperturbative hadronization to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub></math> was discussed in the phenomenological potential models. Finally, the differential distributions and theoretical uncertainty of the doubly charmed tetraquark <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub></math> were analyzed. As the collision energy increases, the contribution of the resolved photon channel will become increasingly significant, and it may even dominate the production of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub></math> with the laser backscattering spectrum. The conclusion is that it is promising to observe <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub></math> via the resolved channel of photoproduction both at the ILC and CLIC, and the results have a strong dependence on the mass of constituent charm quark <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>m</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math> and the potential model.

Photoproduction of doubly charmed tetraquark <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msub><mrow><mi>T</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>c</mi></mrow></msub></mrow></math> via photon-gluon fusion at ILC and CLIC

This paper presents results on multiplicity fluctuations of positively and negatively charged hadrons as well as net-electric charge fluctuations measured in central Ar+Sc interactions at beam momenta 13$\textit{A}$, 19$\textit{A}$, 30$\textit{A}$, 40$\textit{A}$, 75$\textit{A}$, and 150 $$A\,\hbox {GeV}\!/\!c$$ . The fluctuation analysis is one of the tools to search for the predicted critical point of strongly interacting matter. Results are corrected for the experimental biases and quantified using cumulant ratios. In most instances, multiplicity and net-charge distributions appear narrower than the corresponding Poisson or Skellam distributions. Cumulant ratios are compared with the model predictions, which provide a qualitative description that aligns with observations for positively and negatively charged particles. The obtained results are also compared to earlier NA61/SHINE results from inelastic $\textit{p+p}$ interactions in the same analysis acceptance.

Multiplicity and net-electric charge fluctuations in central Ar+Sc interactions at 13$\textit{A}$, 19$\textit{A}$, 30$\textit{A}$, 40$\textit{A}$, 75$\textit{A}$, and 150 $$A\,\hbox {GeV}\!/\!c$$ beam momenta measured by NA61/SHINE at the CERN SPS

<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mrow><mi>JSNS</mi></mrow><mn>2</mn></msup></math> (J-PARC Sterile Neutrino Search at J-PARC Spallation Neutron Source) is an experiment searching for sterile neutrinos through the observation of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mover accent="true"><mi>ν</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>μ</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msub><mover accent="true"><mi>ν</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>e</mi></msub></math> appearance oscillations, using neutrinos produced by muon decay-at-rest. A key aspect of the experiment involves accurately understanding the neutrino flux and the quantities of pions and muons, which are progenitors of (anti)neutrinos, given that their production rates have yet to be measured. This flux measurement is consistent with predictions from simulations based on hadron models.

We present a method to measure time-dependent <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></mrow></math> violation in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></math> decays produced in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">ϒ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mrow><mi>B</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup><mrow><msup><mrow><mover accent="true"><mrow><mi>B</mi></mrow><mrow><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mrow></mover></mrow><mrow><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></mrow></math> events at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi></math> factories without reconstructing the signal decay vertex. The method exploits the sensitivity of the tag <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mover accent="true"><mi>B</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mn>0</mn></msup></math> decay time to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></mrow></math> violation in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></math> signal. It relies on a compact <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> interaction region and excellent vertex resolution, which enable precise measurement of the displacement between production and decay vertices of the tag meson. We study an application to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi>π</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>π</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></math> decays using a simplified simulation that approximates the conditions of the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB collider. Our approach achieves a sensitivity on mixing-induced <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></mrow></math> violation that would require 20 times larger samples with standard approaches. When incorporated into the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>π</mi><mi>π</mi></math> isospin analysis, the expected results would reduce the degeneracy of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>ϕ</mi><mn>2</mn></msub></math> solutions and significantly increase precision. This work opens a path to previously inaccessible <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></mrow></math>-violation studies enhancing and accelerating the reach of Belle II and future flavor physics programs.

We predict a bound state <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2954</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> below the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> threshold with <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><msup><mi>J</mi><mi>P</mi></msup><mo>,</mo><mi>j</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup><mo>,</mo><mn>0</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, which can be studied in the final states of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mo>*</mo><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></msubsup><mi>π</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mo>*</mo><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></msubsup><mi>γ</mi></math>. Also, the resonances <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3000</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3050</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> can be classified as the lower <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><msup><mi>J</mi><mi>P</mi></msup><mo>,</mo><mi>j</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup><mo>,</mo><mn>1</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><msup><mi>J</mi><mi>P</mi></msup><mo>,</mo><mi>j</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup><mo>,</mo><mn>1</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> states, respectively. Our present assignments based on this coupled-channel perspective are significantly different from those of the traditional three-quark picture and of the molecular scenario. The future BelleII and LHCb experiments can search for the bound state <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2954</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and measure the spin-parities of particles <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3000</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3050</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> to test our predictions.

Understanding the low-lying <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math> structures from a coupled-channel perspective

Using 983.0 fb and 427.9 fb data samples collected with the Belle and Belle II detectors at the KEKB and SuperKEKB asymmetric energy $\textit{e}$ $\textit{e}$ colliders, respectively, we present studies of the Cabibbo-favored $${\Xi }_{c}^{+}$$ decays $${\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Sigma }^{+}{K}_{S}^{0}$$ and $${\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Xi }^{0}{\pi }^{+}$$ , and the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $${\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Xi }^{0}{K}^{+}$$ . The ratios of branching fractions of $${\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Sigma }^{+}{K}_{S}^{0}$$ and $${\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Xi }^{0}{K}^{+}$$ relative to that of $${\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Xi }^{-}{\pi }^{+}{\pi }^{+}$$ are measured for the first time, while the ratio $$\mathcal{B}({\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Xi }^{0}{\pi }^{+})/\mathcal{B}({\Xi }_{c}^{+}\to {\Xi }^{-}{\pi }^{+}{\pi }^{+})$$ is also determined and improved by an order of magnitude in precision.
