Using the harmonic superspace approach, we perform a comprehensive study of the structure of divergences in the higher-derivative <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>6</mn><mi>D</mi></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">N</mi><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>,</mo><mn>0</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory coupled to the hypermultiplet in the adjoint representation. The effective action is constructed in the framework of the superfield background field method with the help of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">N</mi><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>,</mo><mn>0</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> supersymmetric higher-derivative regularization scheme which preserves all symmetries of the theory. The one-loop divergences are calculated in a manifestly gauge invariant and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>6</mn><mi>D</mi></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">N</mi><mo>=</mo><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>,</mo><mn>0</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> supersymmetric form, hopefully admitting a generalization to higher loops. The <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>β</mi></math> function in the one-loop approximation is found and analyzed. In particular, it is shown that the one-loop <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>β</mi></math> function for an arbitrary regulator function is specified by integrals of double total derivatives in momentum space, like it happens in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>4</mn><mi>D</mi></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="script">N</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>1</mn></math> superfield gauge theories. This points to the potential possibility to derive the all-loop Novikov-Shifman-Vainshtein-Zakharov-like exact <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>β</mi></math> function in the considered theory.

Structure of divergences in the higher-derivative supersymmetric <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mn>6</mn><mi>D</mi></mrow></math> gauge theory

We investigate Λ production in the ( <math altimg='si146.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>&#960;</mi></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math>, <math altimg='si3.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math>) reaction on a 6Li target at <math altimg='si4.svg'><msub><mrow><mi>p</mi></mrow><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>&#960;</mi></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></mrow></msub><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>=</mo><mn>1.05</mn></math> GeV/ <italic>c</italic>, using the distorted-wave impulse approximation (DWIA) with the Fermi-averaged <math altimg='si5.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>&#960;</mi></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup><mi>n</mi><mo stretchy='false'>&#8594;</mo><msup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></math> amplitudes. The calculated spectrum is in good agreement with the experimental data, suggesting that <math altimg='si1.svg'><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>He</mi></mrow><mprescripts /><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>4</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts></math>- <italic>d</italic> configurations play a key role in describing the &#923; continuum states of <math altimg='si23.svg'><msubsup><mrow /><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>6</mn></mrow></msubsup></math>Li near and above the <math altimg='si8.svg'><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>He</mi></mrow><mprescripts /><none /><mrow><mn>3</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo><mi>d</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></math> threshold. Our analysis shows that the <math altimg='si1.svg'><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>He</mi></mrow><mprescripts /><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>4</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts></math> hypernucleus as a hyperfragment is prominently produced through <italic>D</italic>-wave resonances with <math altimg='si9.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>J</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>P</mi></mrow></msup><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>=</mo><msup><mrow><mn>3</mn></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math>, <math altimg='si10.svg'><msup><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math>, and <math altimg='si11.svg'><msup><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math> in the <math altimg='si108.svg'><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>He</mi></mrow><mprescripts /><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>4</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo><mi>d</mi></math> channel at a large momentum transfer <math altimg='si13.svg'><mi>q</mi><mo>&#8771;</mo><mn>360</mn></math>&#8211;400 MeV/ <italic>c</italic>. These findings provide theoretical evidence for the production of a <math altimg='si1.svg'><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>He</mi></mrow><mprescripts /><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>4</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts></math> hyperfragment via a cluster-like mechanism in the 6Li( <math altimg='si146.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>&#960;</mi></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math>, <math altimg='si3.svg'><msup><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mo linebreak='badbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>+</mo></mrow></msup></math>) reaction.

Evidence for <math altimg='si1.svg'><mmultiscripts><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>He</mi></mrow><mprescripts /><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>&#923;</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>4</mn></mrow></mmultiscripts></math> hyperfragment production in the 6Li( <italic>&#960;</italic> +, <italic>K</italic> +) reaction

We compute the set of all extreme rays of the 6-party subadditivity cone that are compatible with strong subadditivity. In total, we identify 208 new (genuine 6-party) orbits, 52 of which violate at least one known holographic entropy inequality. For the remaining 156 orbits, which do not violate any such inequalities, we construct holographic graph models for 150 of them. For the final 6 orbits, it remains an open question whether they are holographic. Consistent with the strong form of the conjecture in [1], 148 of these graph models are trees. However, 2 of the graphs contain a “bulk cycle”, leaving open the question of whether equivalent models with tree topology exist, or if these extreme rays are counterexamples to the conjecture. The paper includes a detailed description of the algorithm used for the computation, which is presented in a general framework and can be applied to any situation involving a polyhedral cone defined by a set of linear inequalities and a partial order among them to find extreme rays corresponding to down-sets in this poset.

Algorithmic construction of SSA-compatible extreme rays of the subadditivity cone and the N = 6 solution

The measurements of the Higgs boson (H) production cross sections performed by the CMS Collaboration in the four-lepton (4$\textit{ℓ, ℓ}$ = e$\textit{,}$ μ) final state at a center-of-mass energy $$\sqrt{s}$$ = 13$\textit{.}$6 TeV are presented. These measurements are based on data collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC in 2022, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 34.7 fb . Cross sections are measured in a fiducial region closely matching the experimental acceptance, both inclusively and differentially, as a function of the transverse momentum and the absolute value of the rapidity of the four-lepton system. The H → ZZ → 4$\textit{ℓ}$ inclusive fiducial cross section is measured to be $${2.89}_{-0.49}^{+0.53}{\left({\text{stat}}\right)}_{-0.21}^{+0.29}\left({\text{syst}}\right)$$ fb, in agreement with the standard model expectation of $${3.09}_{-0.24}^{+0.27}$$ fb.

Measurements of the Higgs boson production cross section in the four-lepton final state in proton-proton collisions at $$\sqrt{s}$$ = 13$\textit{.}$6 TeV

The inclusive WZ production cross section is measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13.6 TeV, using data collected during 2022 with the CMS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 34$\textit{.}$7 fb . The measurement uses multileptonic final states and a simultaneous likelihood fit to the number of events in four different lepton flavour categories: eee, ee$\textit{μ}$, $\textit{μμ}$e, and $\textit{μμμ}$. The selection is optimized to minimize the number of background events, and relies on an efficient prompt lepton discrimination strategy. The WZ production cross section is measured in a phase space defined within a 30 GeV window around the Z boson mass, as $\textit{σ}$ (pp → WZ) = 55$\textit{.}$2 ± 1$\textit{.}$2 (stat) ± 1$\textit{.}$2 (syst) ± 0$\textit{.}$8 (lumi) ± 0$\textit{.}$3 (theo) pb. In addition, the cross section is measured in a fiducial phase space closer to the detector-level requirements. All the measurements presented in this paper are in agreement with standard model predictions.

Measurement of the inclusive WZ production cross section in pp collisions at $$ \sqrt{\textrm{s}} $$ = 13$\textit{.}$6 TeV

Near horizon geometries of D$\textit{p}$-branes with $\textit{p}$ ≠ 3 are singular with a running dilaton. Bound states of D$\textit{p}$ branes with their magnetic cousins, D(6 − $\textit{p}$) branes, can stabilise the dilaton such that an AdS factor might appear in the near horizon region, potentially leading to a chain of AdS vacua of the form $\textit{AdS}$ × $\textit{S}$ × 𝕋 . The solutions with $\textit{p}$ = −1, 1, 3 are supersymmetric with the cases $\textit{p}$ = 1, 3 being well-known examples already. We construct explicit (partially smeared) brane bound state solutions for all such configurations. The D2-D4 and D(−1)-D7 cases are entirely novel, but they do not have a near-horizon AdS geometry. The two novel classes of solutions feature ghost branes (negative tension branes), and we suggest they are physical for the D(−1)-D7 solutions but unphysical for the D2-D4 solutions. The bound state of a D(−1) and a D7 brane in supergravity was only hinted upon recently in [1]. We correct the solution here in order to preserve supersymmetry, and find that the dilaton can indeed be stabilized. This points to a possible dual matrix theory, generalizing the IKKT matrix model to allow for conformal invariance.

Supergravity solutions for D$\textit{p}$-D(6 $\textit{− p}$) bound states: from $\textit{p}$ = 7 to $\textit{p}$ = $\textit{−}$1

We study the electroweak symmetry breaking in a five dimensional <math altimg='si1.svg'><mi>S</mi><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy='false'>(</mo><mn>6</mn><mo stretchy='false'>)</mo></math> gauge-Higgs unification model where the weak mixing angle is predicted to be <math altimg='si2.svg'><msup><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>sin</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup><mo>&#8289;</mo><msub><mrow><mi>&#952;</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>W</mi></mrow></msub><mo linebreak='goodbreak' linebreakstyle='after'>=</mo><mn>1</mn><mo stretchy='false'>/</mo><mn>4</mn></math> at the compactification scale. We find that the correct pattern of electroweak symmetry breaking is realized by introducing a 4-rank totally symmetric representation additionally. Furthermore, one-loop renormalization group equation analysis show that the weak mixing angle at the weak scale can be in good agreement with the experimental data by introducing some fermions in the adjoint representation.

Electroweak symmetry breaking in Sp(6) gauge-Higgs unification model

A Muon (Synchrotron) Ion Collider (MuSIC) can be the successor to the Electron-Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory, as well as the ideal demonstrator facility for a future multi-TeV Muon Collider. Besides its rich nuclear physics and Standard Model particle physics programs, in this work we show that the MuSIC with a TeV-scale muon beam offers also a unique opportunity to probe New Physics. In particular, the relevant searches have the potential to surpass current experimental limits and explore new regimes of the parameter space for a variety of Beyond the Standard Model scenarios including: lepton-flavor violating leptoquarks, muonphilic vector boson interactions, axion-like particles coupling to photons, and heavy sterile neutrinos. Depending on the particular case, the sensitivity of the searches in the MuSIC may span a wide range of energy scales, namely from sub-GeV particles to the few TeV New Physics mediators. Our analysis demonstrates that the MuSIC can strike a powerful chord in the search for New Physics, thanks to unique combination of features that amplify its capabilities.

New physics at the Muon (Synchrotron) Ion Collider: MuSIC for several scales

This paper presents a theoretical evaluation of spin correlation in the two-proton (2 <italic>p</italic>) radioactive emission. The three-body model of 6Be with the proton-proton interaction, which is adjusted to reproduce the experimental energy release, is utilized. Time-dependent calculations are performed to compute the coupled-spin state of the emitted two protons. The spin-correlation function <italic>S</italic> as the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) indicator is evaluated as <math altimg='si1.svg'><mrow><mo stretchy='true'>|</mo><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy='true'>|</mo></mrow><mo>&#8773;</mo><mn>2.65</mn></math>. Namely, the 2 <italic>p</italic>-spin correlation beyond the limit of local-hidden-variable (LHV) theory is suggested. This correlation is sensitive to the proton-proton interaction. The short-lived (broad-width) 2 <italic>p</italic> state has the weaker spin correlation. In parallel, the core-proton interactions do not harm this correlation during the time-dependent decaying process. The CHSH measurement can be a novel probe into the effective nuclear interaction inside finite systems. Two-proton emitters can provide a testing field for the identical-particle entanglement.

Spin correlation in two-proton emission from 6Be

We studied synchrotron radiation of a massive charged under visible and hidden sector groups, moving in equatorial plane around spherically symmetric weakly magnetized black hole. As a model of dark matter we choose the one, in which Maxwell field is coupled to the additional (1)-gauge field envisaging the dark sector, the so-called dark photon model. Magnetization of a black hole also stems from Maxwell-dark photon electrodynamics. One found the radiation power and energy loss of the particle and looked for the imprints of dark matter on those phenomena.
