Probing the internal organization of hidden-charm pentaquarks—including the spin-color correlations that distinguish compact diquark-diquark-antiquark configurations from loosely bound hadronic molecules—requires observables that go beyond mass spectroscopy. We argue that multicurrent QCD light-cone sum rules provide a diagnostic framework for this problem, not only through the expected sensitivity of the magnetic moment to the internal spin structure but, more importantly, through exact analytic relations among the flavor-sector contributions that are enforced by the algebra of the interpolating currents themselves. We identify two such signatures that emerge from our analysis of compact diquark-diquark-antiquark configurations: (i) for any of the four currents considered the light-quark contributions satisfy the exact ratio <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>u</mi></msub><mo>/</mo><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>d</mi></msub><mo>=</mo><msub><mi>e</mi><mi>u</mi></msub><mo>/</mo><msub><mi>e</mi><mi>d</mi></msub><mo>=</mo><mo>−</mo><mn>2</mn></math>, reflecting a common Lorentz-color kernel that couples <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>u</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>d</mi></math> only through their electric charges; and (ii) for the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>3</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>x</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> current the charm-quark contribution vanishes identically, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo>=</mo><mn>0</mn></math>, arising not from the pseudoscalar embedding of the charm diquark alone—since the same embedding occurs in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>x</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, which yields a nonzero <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math>—but from the specific Dirac structure associated with the anticharm coupling in the global current, which produces an analytic cancellation in the operator product expansion. We illustrate these signatures through explicit calculations using four independent diquark-diquark-antiquark interpolating currents <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>x</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mi>–</mi><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>4</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>x</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, assumed to carry <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>J</mi><mi>P</mi></msup><mo>=</mo><msup><mfrac><mn>1</mn><mn>2</mn></mfrac><mo>−</mo></msup></math>, and obtain <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>1</mn></msub></msub><mo>=</mo><mo>−</mo><mn>1.3</mn><msubsup><mn>5</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>0.28</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>0.35</mn></mrow></msubsup><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>N</mi></msub></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>2</mn></msub></msub><mo>=</mo><mn>3.1</mn><msubsup><mn>4</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>0.50</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>0.65</mn></mrow></msubsup><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>N</mi></msub></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>3</mn></msub></msub><mo>=</mo><mn>1.0</mn><msubsup><mn>1</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>0.20</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>0.25</mn></mrow></msubsup><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>N</mi></msub></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><msub><mi>J</mi><mn>4</mn></msub></msub><mo>=</mo><mo>−</mo><mn>1.7</mn><msubsup><mn>9</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>0.34</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>0.41</mn></mrow></msubsup><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>N</mi></msub></math>. These four predictions are then assigned to the observed <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>ψ</mi><mi>s</mi></mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4338</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>ψ</mi><mi>s</mi></mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4459</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonances on the basis of the mass predictions of recent QCD sum rule analyses; we emphasize, however, that the corresponding <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo>±</mo><mn>0.11</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></math> mass uncertainties accommodate either state within <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>1</mn><mi>σ</mi></math> of all four currents, so this current-to-state mapping is adopted only as an auxiliary phenomenological choice. The predicted magnitudes <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">|</mo><mi>μ</mi><mo stretchy="false">|</mo><mo>∼</mo><mn>1</mn><mi>–</mi><mn>3</mn><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>N</mi></msub></math> lie systematically above quark-model and heavy pentaquark chiral perturbation theory expectations (<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">|</mo><mi>μ</mi><mo stretchy="false">|</mo><mo>≲</mo><mn>0.5</mn><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>N</mi></msub></math>). Applying the same flavor-decomposition procedure to two previous molecular LCSR analyses of the same states yields <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>u</mi></msub><mo>/</mo><msub><mi>μ</mi><mi>d</mi></msub><mo>=</mo><mo>−</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><mn>2</mn></math> rather than <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo>−</mo><mn>2</mn></math>, providing an LCSR-internal contrast that operates at the flavor-decomposed level even when total magnitudes are comparable. Crucially, the two analytic signatures identified here are immune to the ambiguity of the state-to-current pairing and therefore offer falsifiable tests of the compact picture that survive the unavoidable phenomenological assumptions of mass-based assignments.

Analytic electromagnetic signatures of compact pentaquark structure: A multicurrent QCD light-cone sum rules analysis of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>ψ</mi><mi>s</mi></mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></msubsup></math> states

We show that the complex Clifford algebra <math altimg='si28.svg'><mrow><mi mathvariant='double-struck'>C</mi><mi>&#8467;</mi><mo>(</mo><mn>10</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></math> admits an algebraic realisation of three linearly independent fermion generations, each carrying the correct Standard Model gauge quantum numbers under the gauge group <italic>SU</italic>(3) <inf><italic>C</italic></inf>&#8239;&#215;&#8239; <italic>SU</italic>(2) <inf><italic>L</italic></inf>&#8239;&#215;&#8239; <italic>U</italic>(1) <inf><italic>Y</italic></inf>.

Three fermion generations and an untriplicated gauge sector with <italic>S</italic> <inf>3</inf> family symmetry

In this work, we study the decays <italic>&#967;<inf>bJ</inf></italic>(2 <italic>P</italic>)&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; <italic>&#969;</italic>&#933;(1 <italic>S</italic>) using the intermediate meson loop mechanism combined with an effective Lagrangian approach. Within the commonly adopted range of the form factor parameter <math altimg='si4.svg'><mrow><mi>&#945;</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>=</mo><mn>0.8</mn></mrow></math> to 4, the calculated decay widths are found to be consistent with the experimental data. We further predict the partial decay widths of the <italic>&#967;<inf>bJ</inf></italic>(3 <italic>P</italic>)&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; <italic>&#969;</italic>&#933;(1 <italic>S</italic>) decay to be of order 0.1&#8201;keV. We also give the ratios of relative decay widths, which are found to be almost independent of <italic>&#945;</italic>. These predictions await future verification by Belle II and BaBar experiments.

Study of <italic>&#967;<inf>bJ</inf></italic>( <italic>nP</italic>)&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; <italic>&#969;</italic>&#933;(1 <italic>S</italic>) via intermediate meson loop mechanism

We report a new measurement of transverse single-spin asymmetries for dijet production in collisions of polarized protons at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msqrt><mi>s</mi></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mrow><mn>200</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></mrow></math>. Correlations between the proton spin and the transverse momenta of its partons, each perpendicular to the proton momentum direction, are probed at high <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>Q</mi><mn>2</mn></msup><mo>≈</mo><mn>160</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><msup><mi>GeV</mi><mn>2</mn></msup></math>. Evidence for nonzero Sivers effects is measured for the first time in dijets from proton-proton collisions, but only when the jets are sorted by their net charge, which enhances the otherwise canceling opposite-sign <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>u</mi></math>- or <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>d</mi></math>-quark contributions to separate data samples. The resulting asymmetries are compared to recent theoretical calculations. Separately, the associated Sivers observable <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">⟨</mo><msub><mi>k</mi><mi>T</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">⟩</mo></math>, the average parton transverse momentum, is extracted using a simple kinematics approach which further enables a determination of the individual partonic contributions to the observed asymmetries.

Measurement of transverse single-spin asymmetries for dijet production in polarized proton-proton collisions at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msqrt><mi>s</mi></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>200</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></math>

The non-leptonic $\textit{D}$ → $\textit{K}$ $\textit{K}$ and $\textit{D}$ → $\textit{π}$ $\textit{π}$ decays are powerful probes of the Standard Model and are related to each other through the $\textit{U}$ -spin symmetry of the strong interaction. Using lattice QCD inputs we calculate the corresponding colour-allowed tree amplitudes in factorisation and demonstrate that non-factorisable contributions and $\textit{U}$ -spin-breaking effects at the level of 50% allow us to accommodate the measured branching ratios in the Standard Model. An exciting direct probe of such non-factorisable and $\textit{U}$ -spin breaking effects is provided by the $$ {D}^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0 $$ channel. This decay is governed by non-factorisable exchange topologies and essentially vanishes in the $\textit{U}$ -spin limit, although it is experimentally well established with a prominent branching ratio. Extrapolating our $\textit{D}$ → $\textit{K}$ $\textit{K}$ results using the isospin symmetry, we find a consistent benchmark picture. Specifically, we can accommodate the measured $$ {D}^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0 $$ branching ratio with $\textit{U}$ -spin-breaking effects at the 50% level and exchange amplitudes at the level of 50% of the colour-allowed $\textit{D}$ → $\textit{K}$ $\textit{K}$ , $\textit{D}$ → $\textit{π}$ $\textit{π}$ tree contributions. Finally, we explore the resulting range for direct CP violation in $$ {D}^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0 $$ , obtaining upper bounds in our benchmark scenarios of a few per mille, offering an exciting target for future measurements.

Standard model benchmarks for $\textit{D}$ 0 → $\textit{K}$ − $\textit{K}$ +, $\textit{π}$ − $\textit{π}$ +, $$ {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0 $$ decays

We study the semileptonic decays <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>B</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mo>*</mo><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></msubsup><mi>τ</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>ν</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> as a promising probe for new physics (NP) beyond the standard model (SM). The extension of the SM is done through the introduction of four-fermion operators beyond the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>V</mi><mo>−</mo><mi>A</mi></math> structure with the corresponding Wilson coefficients characterizing their contribution. The constraints on these coefficients are obtained from recent experimental data. Form factors describing hadron transitions are calculated in our covariant quark model with infrared confinement. Theoretical predictions for the full set of observables in these channels are provided. We analyze possible NP effects to be tested in future experiments.

This paper presents a detailed description of a model-independent method for the direct measurement of the Υ(4$\textit{S}$) → $\textit{B}$ $\textit{B}$ and Υ(4$\textit{S}$) → $$ {B}^0{\overline{B}}^0 $$ production fractions at $\textit{B}$ factories. The method is based on counting single- and double-inclusive charmed meson production at the Υ(4$\textit{S}$) resonance, providing statistical tagging of $$ {B}^0{\overline{B}}^0 $$ and $\textit{B}$ $\textit{B}$ events. A feasibility study indicates that a precision comparable to the current world average can be achieved without making any underlying assumptions, as the calculations rely solely on event yields.
