Several possible excesses around $ 95 $ GeV hint at an additional light scalar beyond the Standard Model. We examine the capability of the Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC) to test this hypothesis in the Higgs-strahlung channel $ e^{+}e^{-} \to ZS $ with $ Z \to\mu^{+}\mu^{-} $ and $ S \to\tau^{+}\tau^{-} $ . A full detector simulation shows that the optimal center-of-mass energy for studying the 95 GeV light scalar is 210 GeV. A deep neural network classifier reduces the luminosity required for discovery by half. At $ L = 20\; \mathrm{ab}^{-1} $ , the $ 5\sigma $ sensitivity of the CEPC to the signal strength $ \mu_{\tau\tau}^{ZS} $ reaches 0.016 and 0.020 for $ \sqrt{s} = 210 $ GeV and 240 GeV, respectively. The corresponding thresholds for a 5% precision measurement are $ \mu_{\tau\tau}^{ZS} \gt 0.10 $ and $ \gt 0.12 $ . At $ \sqrt{s}=210 $ GeV (240 GeV), the $ 5\sigma $ coverage of all N2HDM-Flipped samples with $ \chi^2_{h_{95}} \lt 7.82 $ requires $ L=800\ \mathrm{fb}^{-1} $ (1.22 $ \mathrm{ab}^{-1} $ ). These results establish a 210 GeV run, augmented by machine-learning selection, as the most efficient strategy to confirm or refute the 95 GeV excess at future lepton colliders.

An analytical and numerical systematic study of the neutrino mass matrix with one texture zero is presented in a basis where the charged leptons are diagonal. Under the assumption that neutrinos are Dirac particles, the analysis is conducted in detail for the normal and inverted hierarchy mass spectra. Our study is performed without any approximations, first analytically and then numerically, using current neutrino oscillation data. The analysis constrains the parameter space in such a way that, among the six possible one-texture-zero patterns, only four are favored in the normal hierarchy and one in the inverted hierarchy by current oscillation data at the $3 \sigma$ level. Phenomenological implications for the lepton CP-violating phase and neutrino masses are also explored.

One-loop contributions for the decay process $ H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{\pm}Z $ within the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (THDM) are computed in the general $ {\cal{R}}_{\xi} $ gauge, and its phenomenological applications at future muon–TeV colliders are investigated. Analytic results are confirmed by several consistency tests, including those of $\textit{ξ}$-independence, renormalization-scale stability, and the ultraviolet finiteness of the one-loop amplitude. We first perform an updated parameter scan of the Type-X THDM in phenomenological studies. The production of charged Higgs boson pairs at future muon–TeV colliders is then investigated through two processes: $ \mu^+\mu^- \rightarrow H^+H^- \rightarrow W^{\pm}W^{\mp}Zh $ and $ \mu^+\mu^- \rightarrow \gamma\gamma \rightarrow H^+H^- \rightarrow W^{\pm}W^{\mp}Zh $ . Both signal events and their significance are evaluated considering the corresponding Standard Model backgrounds. We find that the signal significances can exceed $ 5\sigma $ at several benchmark points in the viable parameter space of the Type-X THDM.

We extend the work of [1] to the case in which final-state jets, produced in association with a Higgs or vector boson, are defined using the $\textit{k}$ algorithm. We thereby compute the full distribution of the invariant mass squared of the leading, highest-$\textit{p}$ jet, including both clustering and non-global logarithms, up to four-loops in perturbation theory. Our results are derived within the eikonal approximation under the assumption of strong ordering in the momenta of the final-state partons, and are consequently valid up to single-logarithmic accuracy. The final semi-analytical expressions retain the complete dependence on both colour and the jet radius. The broad features of $\textit{k}$ clustering observed in $\textit{e}$ $\textit{e}$ processes persist in hadronic collisions, together with novel characteristics that are absent in the $\textit{e}$ $\textit{e}$ environment.

Jet-mass in V/H+jet up to four-loops with $\textit{k}$

In this manuscript, we study the general scalar leptoquark contributions to the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>g</mi><mi>g</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>Z</mi><mi>h</mi></math> process at a one-loop level. We find that the contributions only show up for the off diagonal Higgs and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>Z</mi></math> boson interactions with scalar leptoquarks, which can lead to new tensor structures different from the standard model. In the one-field and two-field models, the contributions vanish exactly; thus, the contributions are possible at least in the three-field models. We exemplify the contributions in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>S</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo>+</mo><msub><mover accent="true"><mi>R</mi><mo stretchy="false">˜</mo></mover><mn>2</mn></msub><mo>+</mo><msub><mi>S</mi><mn>3</mn></msub></math> model, which can appear in the presence of scalar leptoquark mass splittings and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> violation. In view of the heavy scalar leptoquark mass suppression, the leading contributions are typically small and difficult to observe at hadron colliders. However, this work offers a quantitative and systematic investigation of scalar leptoquark contributions, also making it valuable for the new physics studies in other models.

Scalar leptoquark contributions to the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>g</mi><mi>g</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>Z</mi><mi>h</mi></math> process

We explore the potential manifestation of a hexaquark, the H particle, as a constituent within neutron stars. The H particle, with a quark content of $\textit{uuddss}$, is constructed within the Chromomagnetic Interaction (CMI) framework. Specifically, we contemplate the flavor-singlet state H with $$J^P=0^+$$ . Our computations indicate that the three-flavor hexaquark state, the H particle, possesses a lower mass of $$2212.7~\textrm{MeV}$$ in comparison to the $$d^*(2380)$$ , implying greater stability than the two-flavor $$d^*(2380)$$ . The analysis involving the H particle is carried out using the relativistic mean-field (RMF) model. We investigate the influence of H particle couplings, a key factor in determining the system stability, and focus on the potential existence of H particle within neutron stars. We find that H particle could potentially endure as a stable constituent within neutron stars, and lead to a reduction of the maximum mass.

Properties of H particle-admixed compact star

We examine the effects of soft gluons on Higgs boson production in association with a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>Z</mi></math> boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Utilizing the universal cusp anomalous dimensions and splitting kernels, we analyze effects of soft gluons on the gluon fusion <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>Z</mi><mi>H</mi></math> process, focusing on the total production cross section as well as the invariant mass distribution at the next-to-leading logarithmic level. Additionally, we estimate the next-to-soft effects on this subprocess to the same level of accuracy. A detailed phenomenological analysis is performed for the 13.6 TeV LHC. Finally, combining these results with those from other subprocesses, we provide comprehensive predictions for the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>Z</mi><mi>H</mi></math> production cross section and the invariant mass distribution that will be valuable for comparison with experimental data from the upcoming LHC run as well as the future hadron colliders.

Soft gluon resummation for gluon fusion <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>Z</mi><mi>H</mi></math> production

We have studied the effect of anomalous <italic>HHH</italic> coupling in the <italic>&#954;</italic>-framework for the process <italic>H</italic>&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; <italic>Z</italic>&#8201; <italic>Z</italic>*&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; 4 charged leptons by computing the electroweak corrections to it. The results for the <italic>HHH</italic> coupling scaling are gauge invariant. We have computed the results for <math altimg='si1.svg'><mrow><mi>H</mi><mo>&#8594;</mo><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#956;</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#956;</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup></mrow></math> and <math altimg='si48.svg'><mrow><mi>H</mi><mo>&#8594;</mo><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup></mrow></math> processes. The corrections for both processes depend on the input parameter scheme. In the <italic>G<inf>F</inf></italic> scheme, the electroweak corrections are about 1.26% for the <math altimg='si1.svg'><mrow><mi>H</mi><mo>&#8594;</mo><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#956;</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>&#956;</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup></mrow></math> and about 0.25% for the <math altimg='si48.svg'><mrow><mi>H</mi><mo>&#8594;</mo><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup></mrow></math> process. However changing the <italic>&#954;<inf>HHH</inf></italic> from 4 to <math altimg='si21.svg'><mrow><mo>&#8722;</mo><mn>6</mn></mrow></math>, the corrections vary from less than 1% to about <math altimg='si49.svg'><mrow><mo>&#8722;</mo><mn>12</mn><mo>%</mo></mrow></math>. We have plotted a number of kinematic distributions. The corrections over most of the phase space regions are similar. These large corrections can be used to put a bound on the <italic>HHH</italic> coupling. This can help in determining the structure of the Higgs potential.

Effect of anomalous <italic>HHH</italic> coupling on the decay <italic>H</italic>&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; <italic>Z</italic>&#8201; <italic>Z</italic>*&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; 4 charged leptons

We calculate higher-order soft-gluon corrections for the associated production of a top-antitop quark pair and a Higgs boson ( <math altimg='si1.svg'><mrow><mi>t</mi><mover accent='true'><mi>t</mi><mo>&#175;</mo></mover><mi>H</mi></mrow></math> production) using resummation in one-particle-inclusive (1PI) kinematics. By adding these corrections to NLO QCD and NLO electroweak (EW) results, we present cross sections through approximate N 3LO (aN 3LO) in QCD and NLO in EW for <math altimg='si1.svg'><mrow><mi>t</mi><mover accent='true'><mi>t</mi><mo>&#175;</mo></mover><mi>H</mi></mrow></math> production at LHC energies. These aN 3LO QCD + NLO EW results provide significant enhancements over lower orders and a reduced scale dependence. Based on our results and current experimental data, we derive a constraint on the deviation of the top quark Yukawa coupling from the Standard Model value which is a probe of new physics beyond it. We also calculate top-quark differential distributions in transverse momentum and rapidity.
