The effect of electron-electron interaction on positron emission in supercritical collisions of highly charged ions is studied within the monopole approximation using the time-dependent density functional theory and time-dependent Hartree–Fock–Slater methods. Positron production probabilities and energy spectra are calculated for U–U, U–Cm, and Cm–Cm collision systems, considering both bare nuclei and highly charged ions with partially filled electron shells. The results indicate that the screening of the nuclear potential by electrons as well as Pauli blocking substantially reduce positron production and suppress the characteristic signatures of spontaneous vacuum decay, previously found in collisions of bare nuclei.

The production of 
					 baryons in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 
					 is measured in the transverse-momentum range 
					 and the rapidity range 
					. The data used in this measurement correspond to an integrated luminosity of 
					, recorded by the LHCb experiment during 2016. The ratio of the 
					 production cross-section times the branching fraction of the 
					 decay relative to the prompt 
					 production cross-section is found to be 
					, assuming the central value of the measured 
					 lifetime, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.

We expect that BR(χc2(2P)→gluongluon)≳2% if the Particle Data Group as well as the BaBar and Belle collaborations have correctly identified the state. In reality, this branching ratio corresponds to the one for χc2(2P) decaying into light hadrons. We also discuss the detection possibilities of these decays.

We discuss possible implications of exotic stringy instantons for baryon-violating signatures in future colliders. In particular, we discuss high-energy quark collisions and transitions. In principle, the process can be probed by high-luminosity electron-positron colliders. However, we find that an extremely high luminosity is needed in order to provide a (somewhat) stringent bound compared to the current data on NN → ππ,KK. On the other hand, (exotic) instanton-induced six-quark interactions can be tested in near future high-energy colliders beyond LHC, at energies around 20–100 TeV. The Super proton-proton Collider (SppC) would be capable of such measurement given the proposed energy level of 50–90 TeV. Comparison with other channels is made. In particular, we show the compatibility of our model with neutron-antineutron and NN → ππ,KK bounds.

By analyzing the large-angle Bhabha scattering events e+e− → (γ)e+e− and diphoton events e+e− → (γ)γγ for the data sets collected at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies between 2.2324 and 4.5900 GeV (131 energy points in total) with the upgraded Beijing Spectrometer (BESIII) at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider (BEPCII), the integrated luminosities have been measured at the different c.m. energies, individually. The results are important inputs for the R value and J/ψ resonance parameter measurements.
