An $\textit{SU}$(3) flavor projection operator technique is implemented to construct the baryon-meson scattering amplitude within the framework of the $1/N_c$ expansion of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), where $N_c$ represents the number of color charges. The operator technique is implemented to evaluate not only the lowest-order scattering amplitude but also effects from the first-order perturbative $\textit{SU}$(3) flavor symmetry breaking and strong isospin breaking. The most general expression is obtained by explicitly accounting for the effects of the decuplet-octet baryon mass difference. At order ${\cal{O}}(1/N_c^2)$ , a large number of unknown operator coefficients appear, and therefore, there is little additional predictive power unless leading and subleading terms are retained. Although the resultant expression is sufficiently general that it can be applied to any incoming and outgoing baryons and pseudo scalar mesons, provided that the Gell-Mann--Nishijima scheme is respected, results for $N\pi\to N\pi$ scattering processes are explicitly considered.

<p>We construct the energy-momentum tensor of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">O</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>N</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></math> linear sigma model explicitly in the large <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi></math> limit using the exact renormalization group (ERG) formalism. The energy-momentum tensor is obtained as a cutoff dependent functional of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi></math> scalar field variables. Our guiding principles behind the construction are twofold: first the energy-momentum tensor must satisfy the Ward identity for translation and rotation invariance, and second the energy-momentum tensor must satisfy a variant of the exact renormalization group equation. In the limit that the momentum cutoff goes to zero, our energy-momentum tensor gives the one-particle irreducible (1PI) effective action with the insertion of a single energy-momentum tensor operator. We verify that the energy-momentum tensor constructed satisfies the expected trace formula, and that the trace vanishes at the Wilson-Fisher critical point.</p>

Explicit construction of the energy-momentum tensor in the large <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi></math> limit

We generalize the explicit construction of fields in orbifolds of products of <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><mi>N</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>=</mo><mo>(</mo><mn>2</mn><mo>,</mo><mn>2</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></math> minimal models, developed by A. Belavin, V. Belavin and S. Parkhomenko to include minimal models with D and E-type modular invariants. It is shown that spectral flow twisting by the elements of admissible group <italic>G</italic> <inf>adm</inf>, which is used in the construction of the orbifold, is consistent with the nondiagonal pairing of D and E-type minimal models. We obtain the complete set of fields of the orbifold from the mutual locality and other requirements of the conformal bootstrap. The collection of mutually local primary fields is labeled by the elements of dual group <math altimg='si3.svg'><msubsup><mi>G</mi><mtext>adm</mtext><mo>*</mo></msubsup></math>. The permutation of <italic>G</italic> <inf>adm</inf> and <math altimg='si3.svg'><msubsup><mi>G</mi><mtext>adm</mtext><mo>*</mo></msubsup></math> is given by the mirror spectral flow construction of the fields and maps the space of states of the original <italic>G</italic> <inf>adm</inf> orbifold onto the space of states of <math altimg='si3.svg'><msubsup><mi>G</mi><mtext>adm</mtext><mo>*</mo></msubsup></math> orbifold. We show that this transformation is by construction a mirror isomorphism of spaces of states. Thus, mirror isomorphism of states is built into the construction. We illustrate our approach for the orbifolds of <math altimg='si4.svg'><mrow><msub><mi mathvariant='bold'>A</mi><mn>2</mn></msub><msubsup><mi mathvariant='bold'>E</mi><mn>7</mn><mn>3</mn></msubsup></mrow></math> model.

The <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> asymmetry is measured to be <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msub><mrow><mi mathvariant="script">A</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></mrow></msub><mo>=</mo><mrow><mn>0.507</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.062</mn><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>stat</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow><mo>±</mo><mn>0.024</mn><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>syst</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></mrow></mrow></math> and the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math>-averaged longitudinal polarization fraction of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>f</mi><mi>L</mi></msub><mo>=</mo><mrow><mn>0.720</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.028</mn><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>stat</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow><mo>±</mo><mn>0.009</mn><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>syst</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></mrow></math>. The measurements help to shed light on the polarization puzzle of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>B</mi></math> mesons decaying to two vector mesons.</p>
