The interference between amplitudes corresponding to different intermediate resonances plays an important role in generating large CP asymmetries in the phase space in multi-body decays of bottom and charmed mesons. In this study, we examine the CP violation in the decay channel $ {\overline{B}}^{0}\rightarrow K^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{0} $ in the phase-space region where the intermediate resonances $ \overline{K}^{*}(892)^{0} $ and $ {\overline{K}^{*}_{0}(700)} $ dominate. In particular, the forward-backward asymmetry (FBA) and the CP asymmetry induced by FBA (FB-CPA), which are closely related to the interference effects between the two aforementioned resonances, are investigated. The nontrivial correlation between FBA and FB-CPA is analyzed. The analysis indicates that FB-CPAs around the resonance $ \overline{K}^{*}(892)^{0} $ can be as large as approximately 35%, which can be potentially accessible by Belle and Belle-II collaborations in the near future.

The first four-dimensional amplitude analysis of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><msubsup><mi>K</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi><mn>0</mn></msubsup><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></math> decay is performed with proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msqrt><mi>s</mi></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>13</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>TeV</mi></math>, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mn>5.4</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">f</mi><msup><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">b</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>1</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></mrow></math>. The data cannot be fully explained by <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><msup><mi>K</mi><mrow><mo>*</mo><mo>+</mo></mrow></msup></math> contributions alone. A significantly better description of the data is obtained by adding a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></mrow><mo>+</mo></msubsup></math> contribution decaying to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ψ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></math>. A description of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mn>1</mn></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4430</mn><msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>+</mo></msup></math> structure using the triangle singularity mechanism is studied and also found to be consistent with the data.

We present a comprehensive study of the axial-vector resonance <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> within the unitarized chiral perturbation theory, focusing on its two-pole structure and manifestation in femtoscopic observables. By considering the dominant <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ρ</mi><mi>K</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>π</mi></math> coupled channels, we reproduce the well-established double-pole structure and trace the chiral evolution of both poles as functions of the pion mass, using the vector-meson mass trajectories fitted to lattice-QCD data and experimental values. The lower pole, dominantly coupled to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>π</mi></math>, evolves from an above-threshold resonance to a virtual or bound state with increasing pion mass. In comparison, the higher pole, dominantly coupled to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ρ</mi><mi>K</mi></math>, moves downward in energy, reflecting the strengthening of the chiral attraction. The influence of the finite vector-meson widths is systematically examined, showing that their inclusion smooths the pole trajectories without altering their qualitative behavior. Furthermore, femtoscopic correlation functions are calculated for all relevant vector-pseudoscalar channels in both charged sectors. The results exhibit distinct resonance and bound-state features consistent with the two-pole dynamics. The weak impact of higher channels, such as <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ω</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>η</mi></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ϕ</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math>, confirms that the simplified two-channel treatment captures the essential dynamics of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonance. This study demonstrates that combining chiral extrapolation and femtoscopic correlation analyses provides a powerful and complementary framework for connecting lattice-QCD calculations, chiral effective theory, and experimental measurements, offering new insights into the molecular nature and chiral origin of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonance.

Chiral evolution and femtoscopic signatures of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msub><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></math> resonance

In recent neutrino detectors, neutrons produced in neutrino reactions play an important role. Muon capture on oxygen nuclei is one of the processes that produce neutrons in water Cherenkov detectors. We measured neutron multiplicity in the process using cosmic ray muons that stop in the gadolinium-loaded Super-Kamiokande detector. For this measurement, neutron detection efficiency is obtained with the muon capture events followed by gamma rays to be <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mn>50.2</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>2.1</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>2.0</mn></mrow></msubsup><mo>%</mo></math>. By fitting the observed multiplicity considering the detection efficiency, we measure neutron multiplicity in muon capture as <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>P</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>0</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mn>24</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>3</mn><mo>%</mo></mrow></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>P</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mn>7</mn><msubsup><mn>0</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>2</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>3</mn></mrow></msubsup><mo>%</mo></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>P</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mn>6.1</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.5</mn><mo>%</mo></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>P</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>=</mo><mn>0.38</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.09</mn><mo>%</mo></math>. This is the first measurement of the multiplicity of neutrons associated with muon capture on oxygen without neutron energy threshold.
