A search for the decay $ B^+\to D_s^+ K^+K^- $ has been reported by the LHCb Collaboration using $ pp $ collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $4.8\;{\rm{fb}}^{-1}$ , collected at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, in which no amplitude analysis of the $ K^+K^- $ subsystem was performed. In this work, we study the resonant contributions to the decay $ B^+\to D_s^+ K^+K^- $ within the perturbative QCD (PQCD) factorization framework. Contributions from the $\textit{S}$-wave resonances $ f_0(980) $ , $ f_0(1370) $ , and $ f_0(1500) $ , the $\textit{P}$-wave resonance $ \phi(1020) $ , and the $\textit{D}$-wave resonances $ f_2(1270) $ and $ f_2(1525) $ are taken into account. By introducing the corresponding two-meson distribution amplitudes for the $ K^+K^- $ system, we perform a complete perturbative analysis of the quasi-two-body decays $ B^+\to D_s^+(R\to)K^+K^- $ , where $\textit{R}$ denotes an intermediate resonance, and present the first PQCD predictions for the associated branching fractions. Using the narrow-width approximation, we further extract the branching fractions of the corresponding two-body decays $ B^+\to D_s^+R $ . Our results are consistent with the available experimental measurements and previous theoretical studies. Finally, we find that direct CP asymmetries vanish for these quasi-two-body decays within the Standard Model, so that any experimentally observed nonzero CP asymmetry would constitute a clear signal of physics beyond the Standard Model.

At the same time, with the detection efficiency based on the results of the amplitude analysis, the branching fraction of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>p</mi><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> is updated to be <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>9.94</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.6</mn><msub><mn>5</mn><mrow><mi>stat</mi></mrow></msub><mo>±</mo><mn>0.5</mn><msub><mn>0</mn><mrow><mi>syst</mi></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>×</mo><msup><mn>10</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>4</mn></mrow></msup></math>, which is consistent with the current world average value within one standard deviation. The result supersedes the previous BESIII measurement with precision improved by approximately a factor of 1.5.</p>

Amplitude analysis of singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>p</mi><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math>

We study fixed-column predictions of the lepton mixing matrix that arise from residual symmetries originating in a class of discrete flavour and modular symmetries. While the recent high-precision determination of sin $\textit{θ}$ by JUNO already constrains part of these predictions, the remaining viable scenarios are primarily characterized by non-trivial correlations between sin $\textit{θ}$ and the Dirac CP phase $\textit{δ}$ , which are currently only weakly constrained. This motivates a detailed investigation of the sensitivities of next-generation long-baseline neutrino experiments to these scenarios. For the phenomenologically viable fixed-column predictions that can constitute a column of the lepton mixing matrix, we derive precise sin $\textit{θ}$ -$\textit{δ}$ correlations and use them to generate test-event samples, marginalising over the remaining oscillation parameters. We perform detailed simulations for DUNE and Hyper-K, presenting the allowed regions in the sin $\textit{θ}$ -$\textit{δ}$ plane. We also evaluate, as a function of experimental exposure (determined by the run time), the fraction of $\textit{δ}$ values for which these theoretical predictions can be ruled out at more than 3$\textit{σ}$ CL. Our results show that the combined sensitivity of DUNE and Hyper-K provides a robust test of fixed-column lepton-mixing predictions.

Testing predictions of discrete flavour and modular symmetries at DUNE and Hyper-K with JUNO constraints

In this work, we analyze the strong vertices of hadronic molecules $\textit{DK}$, $$D^*K$$ , $$DK^*$$ and their bottom analogs within the framework of three-point QCD sum rules. The contribution of interpolating currents coupling to low spin particles is considered in the phenomenological side, and the vacuum condensates $$\left\langle \bar{q}q \right\rangle ,\left\langle g_s^2GG \right\rangle ,\left\langle \bar{q}g_s\sigma Gq \right\rangle ,\left\langle g_s^3GGG \right\rangle ,{\left\langle \bar{q}q \right\rangle ^2}$$ are included in the QCD side. As an application of strong coupling constants, we also obtain the partial decay widths of these states, where $$\Gamma _{T_{DK}\rightarrow D_s\pi }=12.4_{-2.7}^{+3.2}$$ KeV, $$\Gamma _{T_{D^*K}\rightarrow D_s^*\pi }=28.5_{-4.6}^{+5.2}$$ KeV, $$\Gamma _{T_{BK}\rightarrow BK}=101_{-21}^{+36}$$ MeV and $$\Gamma _{T_{B^*K}\rightarrow B^*K}=142_{-25}^{+52}$$ MeV. It is shown that the results of $$\Gamma _{T_{DK}\rightarrow D_s\pi }$$ and $$\Gamma _{T_{D^*K}\rightarrow D_s^*\pi }$$ are compatible with the experimental data of $$D_{s0}^*(2317)$$ and $$D_{s1}(2460)$$ .

Analysis of the strong vertices of hadronic molecules $\textit{DK}$, $$D^*K$$ , $$DK^*$$ and their bottom analogs

We further investigate the 3d gauged linear sigma model (GLSM)/ quantum K-theory correspondence for partial flag manifolds $\textit{X}$ ≡ Fl( ; $\textit{n}$). This is a 3d uplift of the 2d GLSM/quantum cohomology correspondence with the 3d theory compactified on $$ {\mathbb{R}}^2\times {S}_{\beta}^1 $$ . Recently, a set of half-BPS line operators, called Schubert line defects, were constructed that correspond to the Schubert classes in the K-theory ring of $\textit{X}$. Utilizing algebro-geometric algorithms, we compute 2-point and 3-point correlation functions of these line operators in the 3d A-model regime of the theory. These are interpreted as genus-0 K-theoretic Gromov-Witten invariants, and they produce the K-theoretic Littlewood-Richardson coefficients of the quantum K-theory ring of $\textit{X}$. We show how this works explicitly in examples, going beyond the existing results in the literature. Taking the small $\textit{β}$ limit, we apply these techniques to the resulting 2d GLSM. We explicitly compute the quantum cohomology ring relations of $\textit{X}$ for some cases and match with existing results in the literature in examples.

On the Schubert calculus of the quantum K-theory for partial flag manifolds: a 3d A-model perspective

<p>This Letter reports on the first evidence of inclusive Higgs-boson production at high transverse momentum in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>b</mi><mover accent="true"><mrow><mi>b</mi></mrow><mrow><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mrow></mover></mrow></math> final state, reconstructed in a single large-radius jet. The results are based on proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at a center-of-mass energies of 13 and 13.6 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mn>301</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><msup><mrow><mi>fb</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>1</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math>. The study profits from the large background suppression provided by the use of a new transformer-based algorithm for jet identification and the sharper mass and transverse momentum, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>p</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">T</mi></msub></math>, resolution from a dedicated regression model. The yield relative to the standard model prediction for Higgs bosons produced at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>p</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">T</mi></msub></math> larger than 450 GeV is measured to be <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mn>1.53</mn><mo>±</mo><mn>0.2</mn><msubsup><mrow><mn>7</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>0.27</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>0.33</mn></mrow></msubsup><mrow><mo>±</mo></mrow><mn>0.17</mn></mrow></math>, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is experimental systematic, and the third accounts for theory systematic, corresponding to an observed (expected) significance of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>3.8</mn><mi>σ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2.5</mn><mi>σ</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> relative to the background-only hypothesis. Results are also obtained in three Higgs boson <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>p</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">T</mi></msub></math> intervals and found to be compatible with standard model predictions, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is experimental systematic, and the third accounts for theory systematic.</p>
