Hadron-hadron interactions, being nonperturbative in nature, play a significant role in addressing phenomenological questions in particle physics. Femtoscopy is a powerful tool in heavy-ion collision experiments, enabling the extraction of hadron-hadron interactions via momentum-correlation functions (CFs). These CFs are typically expressed as a convolution of source functions and hadron-hadron wave functions, with the latter encoding information about the interactions. However, source functions remain poorly constrained and are commonly approximated by a Gaussian form. Reconstructing source functions from experimental correlation data constitutes an 'inverse problem.' To address this, we propose a toy model based on Tikhonov regularization. Using a square-well potential with four distinct strengths, we calculate the CFs for inputs of single Gaussian source functions and mixed Gaussian source functions. The resulting CFs are then used to reconstruct the source functions via Tikhonov regularization. Our results show that the Gaussian source function can be successfully reconstructed, highlighting the potential of this approach for extracting realistic source functions from hadron pairs of interest.

We investigate the discovery potential of the $T_{bc}$ state with $J^P = 0^+$ in proton-proton ( $pp$ ) collisions at LHCb at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 13~{\rm{TeV}}$ . The study focuses on the decay channel $T_{bc} \to B^- D^+$ . A phenomenological approach is employed to construct the background model based on the associated production of $\textit{B}$ and $\textit{D}$ mesons, incorporating previously published LHCb results. Background processes are simulated using ${\mathtt{MadGraph5\_aMC@NLO}}$ and ${\mathtt{Pythia8.3}}$ . We explore the parameter space of the $T_{bc}$ mass, width, production cross section, and the effective double-parton scattering cross section ( $\sigma_{{\rm{eff}}}$ ) relevant for the $B D$ meson background. The integrated luminosity required for a $5\sigma$ discovery at LHCb is evaluated under various assumptions. In particular, we consider three representative $T_{bc}$ production cross section scenarios: an optimistic estimate of $103~{\rm{nb}}$ , an intermediate value of $18~{\rm{nb}}$ obtained by scaling from the $T_{cc}^+$ production cross section, and a conservative lower bound of $0.3~{\rm{nb}}$ . We find that a $5\sigma$ observation is achievable for a production cross section of $103~{\rm{nb}}$ , which is expected to be within reach during Run4. In contrast, the more realistic cross section estimate of $18~{\rm{nb}}$ requires the full Run5 dataset ( $300~{\rm{fb}}^{-1}$ ) under the most favorable parameter choices. For the conservative scenario, no significant signal would be observable even with $300~{\rm{fb}}^{-1}$ . In addition, we estimate the minimum observable $\sigma(T_{bc}) \times {\cal{B}}(T_{bc} \to $ $ B^- D^+)$ for a $5\sigma$ discovery under different luminosity scenarios, providing guidance for future experimental searches at LHCb.

We also present the invariant-mass distributions of a vector meson and a pseudoscalar meson originating from the decays of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> or <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>b</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1235</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, along with the corresponding decay widths. Our results show that these decay widths are all of the order of a few MeV. We hope that future experiments can test the predictions presented here, thereby helping to identify this <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>h</mi><mn>1</mn></msub></math> state.

The femtoscopic <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math> correlations are investigated to predict the signature of the not-yet-established <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>X</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3960</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> state reported by the LHCb Collaboration in three scenarios: resonant, virtual, or bound. In the last two scenarios, it might also be identified as the state <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>X</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3930</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>. The formalism employed to generate this structure dynamically is based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation with a general <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>S</mi></math>-wave potential. We investigate how the relevant properties and observables characterizing this state—such as the pole position, scattering length, and effective range—might be affected by variations in the model parameters. The amplitudes encoding the distinct interpretations of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>X</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3960</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> state are then used as input to calculate the femtoscopic correlation function of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math> pair, which is analyzed and discussed.

The Galactic Center GeV Excess (GCE) remains a compelling but enigmatic signal from the inner regions of our galaxy. Muonphilic dark matter (DM), which couples exclusively to muons via a new mediator, provides a viable explanation for the GCE and relic density while naturally evading constraints from direct detection, collider searches, and other multimessenger observations. Based on the viable nonresonant parameter space identified in previous global fits, we perform a comprehensive study on the prospects for discovering such muonphilic DM in the context of a future 3 TeV muon collider, focusing on simplified models with a $Z_2$ -even mediator. Four distinct search strategies are investigated: visible on-shell mediator decays ( $\mu^{+}\mu^{-}\gamma$ final state), invisible on-shell mediator decays (mono-photon plus missing energy), mono-photon production via off-shell mediators, and vector boson fusion production. Through a detailed signal-background analysis using cut-and-count methods, we project the exclusion limits at $ 95 $ % confidence level for seven representative models across a wide range of mediator masses. Our results demonstrate that the projected limits cover a significant portion of viable parameter space that explains the GCE, establishing a muon collider as a decisive machine for testing the muonphilic DM hypothesis.

This study investigates the ultraviolet realization of semileptonic four-fermion operator $ O_{ledq}^{\alpha \beta 11} $ that incorporates Majorana dark matter (DM) in both lepton-flavor-conserving (LFC) and lepton-flavor-violating (LFV) scenarios at the one-loop level via box diagram, thereby effectively alleviating the lower bounds on the new physics scale. In addition, we investigate the interplay between model-independent constraints on the Wilson coefficients and DM direct detection, relic density, and collider searches in the context of fermion portal DM model with two mediators. We found that both the projected future constraint on the LFC Wilson coefficient $ C_{ledq}^{2211}/\Lambda^2 \lt $ $ (12.3\; \text{TeV})^{-2} $ from the measurements of neutrino non-standard interaction in the next-generation neutrino oscillation experiments, and the LFV constraint $ C_{ledq}^{1211}/\Lambda^2 \lt \left(2.2\times 10^3\; \text{TeV} \right)^{-2} $ from ongoing charged-lepton-flavor-violation searches, provide a complementary exploration of the parameter space encompassing the DM and scalar masses. With a colored mediator mass of approximately $ 2\; \text{TeV} $ , the sensitivity of the indirect constraints on the four-fermion operator can surpass those of collider searches and DM direct detection, in scenarios where the masses of the DM and scalar are close. By ensuring the correct DM relic density, however, we find that the collider searches and DM direct detection are more sensitive to the electroweak-scale DM and scalar than indirect constraints.

Over the past 20 years, many new hadron states have been discovered, but understanding their nature remains a key experimental and theoretical challenge. Recent studies have established that hadron-hadron interactions primarily govern the generation of new hadronic states, with their spectroscopy serving as a powerful tool for probing these interactions and determining the corresponding compositeness. In this work, we study four scenarios to determine the <italic>DK</italic> interaction by reproducing the mass of the <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mi>s</mi><mn>0</mn></mrow><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>2317</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow></math>, i.e., assuming the <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mi>s</mi><mn>0</mn></mrow><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>2317</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow></math> as a <italic>DK</italic> molecule, a mixture of a <italic>DK</italic> molecule and a bare state, a <math altimg='si10.svg'><mrow><mi>D</mi><mi>K</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>&#8722;</mo><msub><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mi>&#951;</mi></mrow></math> molecule, and a mixture of a <math altimg='si10.svg'><mrow><mi>D</mi><mi>K</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>&#8722;</mo><msub><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mi>&#951;</mi></mrow></math> molecule and a bare state. Using the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> interactions derived from these scenarios, we predict the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> correlation functions. Our results demonstrate that the lineshape of the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> correlation function is sensitive to the admixture effects from the coupled-channel <math altimg='si11.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></mrow></math> and the bare state. Furthermore, we find that the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> correlation function can probe the position of the bare state, if such a QCD bare state exists. Using the shallow-bound state candidate <italic>X</italic>(3872) as input, we study the <math altimg='si9.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mover accent='true'><mi>D</mi><mo>&#175;</mo></mover><mrow><mo>*</mo><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> correlation functions. These functions are highly sensitive to short-range dynamics and bare-state admixtures, resulting in clearly distinguishable correlation-function line shapes across different values of compositeness.

Probing the structure of the <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mi>s</mi><mn>0</mn></mrow><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>2317</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow></math> and <italic>X</italic>(3872) states through correlation functions

Within the framework of Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSEs) and by means of the Multiple Reflection Expansion approximation, we study the finite volume effects on the constituent quark mass in a strong external magnetic field. Since the magnetic field influences the coupling constant, which controls the strength of strong interactions in QCD, we adopt the magnetic-field-dependent running coupling constant in our simulations. The results show that, in addition to the magnetic field, the masses of constituent quarks also have a significant dependence on the volume and the running coupling constant. The model behaves closely to the infinite volume limit for large sizes, but the effect of the finite volume is significant when the system size $\textit{R}$ is about $ 2-6 $ fm. The finite volume effects and the magnetic-field-dependent running coupling constant have considerable influence on the phase transition.

Over the past two decades, numerous exotic hadron states have been discovered, yet their underlying nature remains unclear. It is widely acknowledged that understanding hadron-hadron interactions is essential to unraveling their properties. Hadron spectroscopy is a powerful tool for this endeavor, providing rich experimental data that can shed light on exotic systems. Recently, the LHCb experiment analyzed the process <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>−</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> and observed a narrow peak in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></math> invariant mass spectrum, regarding it as a candidate for a pentaquark. In this work, we extract the coupled-channel <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mo>−</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo>−</mo><msub><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>s</mi></msub><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math> potential based on the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></math> invariant mass spectrum. Our results indicate the existence of a bound state below the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math> mass threshold, corresponding to the experimentally measured state <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>s</mi></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4338</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>. We report an experimental investigation of an unexplored breakup pathway of 6Li proceeding via one-proton stripping to the unbound 5He nucleus, followed by its decay into <math altimg='si22.svg'><mrow><mi>&#945;</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>+</mo><mi>n</mi></mrow></math>, in the 6Li + 112Sn reaction at <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msub><mi>E</mi><mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>b</mi></mrow><mi>e</mi><mi>a</mi><mi>m</mi></mrow></msub><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>=</mo><mn>30</mn></mrow></math> MeV. Coincident <italic>&#945;</italic>- <italic>n</italic> events were measured using an array of silicon strip telescopes in conjunction with liquid scintillator neutron detectors. Successive kinematical cuts on the reconstructed projectile-like, fragment energies and Q-values enabled a clear separation of contributions arising purely through 5He <math altimg='si6.svg'><mrow><mo>&#8594;</mo><mi>&#945;</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>+</mo><mi>n</mi></mrow></math> from competing processes such as evaporation following complete and incomplete fusion. The resultant relative energy distributions exhibit a pronounced peak at 0.84 MeV, indicating sequential breakup through the first unbound resonance 5He(3/2 <math altimg='si23.svg'><msup><mrow /><mo>&#8722;</mo></msup></math>) and show good agreement with Monte-Carlo simulations. Absolute breakup cross-sections for the ( 6Li, 5He&#8239;&#8594;&#8239; <italic>&#945;n</italic>) channel are determined using the efficiency-corrected yields. In addition, angular distributions for elastic scattering and breakup cross sections are interpreted within coupled-channels (CDCC+CRC) framework. The present results provide valuable insight into transfer-induced breakup dynamics of weakly bound nuclei near the Coulomb barrier.
