The interference between amplitudes corresponding to different intermediate resonances plays an important role in generating large CP asymmetries in the phase space in multi-body decays of bottom and charmed mesons. In this study, we examine the CP violation in the decay channel $ {\overline{B}}^{0}\rightarrow K^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{0} $ in the phase-space region where the intermediate resonances $ \overline{K}^{*}(892)^{0} $ and $ {\overline{K}^{*}_{0}(700)} $ dominate. In particular, the forward-backward asymmetry (FBA) and the CP asymmetry induced by FBA (FB-CPA), which are closely related to the interference effects between the two aforementioned resonances, are investigated. The nontrivial correlation between FBA and FB-CPA is analyzed. The analysis indicates that FB-CPAs around the resonance $ \overline{K}^{*}(892)^{0} $ can be as large as approximately 35%, which can be potentially accessible by Belle and Belle-II collaborations in the near future.

We employed the chiral unitarity approach to investigate the decay process <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi mathvariant="normal">Σ</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math>, by considering that the low lying nucleon resonance <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and the low lying scalar meson <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>f</mi><mn>0</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>980</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>a</mi><mn>0</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>980</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> that could be dynamically generated through the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>S</mi></math>-wave pseudoscalar meson-octet baryon and the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>S</mi></math>-wave pseudoscalar-meson–pseudoscalar-meson interactions, respectively. In the invariant mass distributions of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi mathvariant="normal">Σ</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math>, we observe a distinct peak structure associated with the resonant state <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and a bit enhancement near the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>−</mo></msup></math> threshold that is corresponding to the mesons <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>f</mi><mn>0</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>980</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>a</mi><mn>0</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>980</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, respectively. Consequently, we recommend more precise experimental measurements of this process in the future.

The first four-dimensional amplitude analysis of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><msubsup><mi>K</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">S</mi><mn>0</mn></msubsup><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></math> decay is performed with proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msqrt><mi>s</mi></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>13</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>TeV</mi></math>, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mn>5.4</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">f</mi><msup><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">b</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>1</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></mrow></math>. The data cannot be fully explained by <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><msup><mi>K</mi><mrow><mo>*</mo><mo>+</mo></mrow></msup></math> contributions alone. A significantly better description of the data is obtained by adding a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></mrow><mo>+</mo></msubsup></math> contribution decaying to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ψ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2</mn><mi>S</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></math>. A description of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>T</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mn>1</mn></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4430</mn><msup><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>+</mo></msup></math> structure using the triangle singularity mechanism is studied and also found to be consistent with the data.

We present a comprehensive study of the axial-vector resonance <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> within the unitarized chiral perturbation theory, focusing on its two-pole structure and manifestation in femtoscopic observables. By considering the dominant <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ρ</mi><mi>K</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>π</mi></math> coupled channels, we reproduce the well-established double-pole structure and trace the chiral evolution of both poles as functions of the pion mass, using the vector-meson mass trajectories fitted to lattice-QCD data and experimental values. The lower pole, dominantly coupled to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>π</mi></math>, evolves from an above-threshold resonance to a virtual or bound state with increasing pion mass. In comparison, the higher pole, dominantly coupled to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ρ</mi><mi>K</mi></math>, moves downward in energy, reflecting the strengthening of the chiral attraction. The influence of the finite vector-meson widths is systematically examined, showing that their inclusion smooths the pole trajectories without altering their qualitative behavior. Furthermore, femtoscopic correlation functions are calculated for all relevant vector-pseudoscalar channels in both charged sectors. The results exhibit distinct resonance and bound-state features consistent with the two-pole dynamics. The weak impact of higher channels, such as <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ω</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>η</mi></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ϕ</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math>, confirms that the simplified two-channel treatment captures the essential dynamics of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonance. This study demonstrates that combining chiral extrapolation and femtoscopic correlation analyses provides a powerful and complementary framework for connecting lattice-QCD calculations, chiral effective theory, and experimental measurements, offering new insights into the molecular nature and chiral origin of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonance.

Chiral evolution and femtoscopic signatures of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msub><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></math> resonance

We analyze the latest cosmic microwave background (CMB) constraints on the scalar spectral index <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>n</mi><mi>s</mi></msub></math> and tensor-to-scalar ratio <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>r</mi></math> from Planck 2018, BICEP/Keck 2018, the Atacama Cosmology Telescope Data Release 6 (ACT DR6), and the South Pole Telescope (SPT-3G) data, focusing on their implications for attractor models of inflation. We compare systematically observational bounds with theoretical predictions for both E-model (<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>α</mi></math>-Starobinsky) and T-model potentials. The observational constraints accommodate E-models with <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>α</mi><mo>≲</mo><mn>25</mn></math>, with the canonical Starobinsky model (<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>α</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>1</mn></math>) predicting <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>n</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mo>=</mo><mn>0.958</mn><mi>–</mi><mn>0.963</mn></math> for reheating temperatures between <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mn>100</mn><mo>−</mo><msup><mn>10</mn><mn>10</mn></msup><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></math>, in good agreement with Planck 2018 data and within the 95% CL region determined by the Planck-ACT-SPT combination, but below the 95% confidence region of the Planck-ACT-DESI combination. Higher reheating temperatures from near-instantaneous reheating improve the compatibility. T-models predict slightly lower <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>n</mi><mi>s</mi></msub></math> values (0.956–0.961), in some tension with Planck 2018 data, and we find an upper limit of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>α</mi><mo>≲</mo><mn>11</mn></math> in these models. We extend our analysis to generalized <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>α</mi></math>-attractors with monomial potentials <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>V</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mi>φ</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo>∝</mo><msup><mi>φ</mi><mi>k</mi></msup></math> near the minimum, demonstrating that models with <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>k</mi><mo>≥</mo><mn>6</mn></math> naturally predict <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>n</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mo>≃</mo><mn>0.965</mn><mi>–</mi><mn>0.968</mn></math> for typical number of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>e</mi></math>-folds, in better agreement with the ACT DR6 data. We also consider deformed E- and T-models, which allow significantly higher values of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>n</mi><mi>s</mi></msub></math> for low values of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>α</mi><mo>≃</mo><mn>1</mn></math>.

Three gauge couplings are found to achieve the unification below the Planck scales, according to the unification relations determined by the affine Lie algebra at a level of 1. We also prove that a separate nonmaximal symmetry breaking pattern of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi mathvariant="fraktur">s</mi><mi mathvariant="fraktur">u</mi></mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>8</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msub><mi mathvariant="fraktur">g</mi><mn>621</mn></msub></math> is unrealistic due to the additional massless vectorlike quarks in the spectrum.

We present a theoretical analysis of the process <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mi>c</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>p</mi><msup><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>π</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></math> within the chiral unitary approach, with particular emphasis on the dynamically generated <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1535</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonance. In addition to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1535</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, our model incorporates contributions from other intermediate resonances including <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1650</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>*</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>892</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>K</mi><mn>0</mn><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1430</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1440</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Σ</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1750</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>. The calculated invariant mass distributions and Dalitz plot are in good agreement with the recent Belle measurements. Our analysis highlights the crucial role of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>N</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1535</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> state in this decay channel and supports its interpretation as a dynamically generated state arising from coupled-channel meson-baryon interactions.

We study a class of infinite-distance loci, referred to as K-points, in one-parameter complex-structure moduli spaces of type IIB string theory compactified on Calabi-Yau manifolds. We show that around K-points the effective four-dimensional supergravity exhibits certain unusual properties. The two most prominent being that the leading order dependence of the prepotential on the gauge couplings is non-perturbative and that the leading gauge kinetic terms in the action vanish when evaluated on an anti self-dual graviphoton background. These properties are shared with the conifold locus in moduli space, rather than the large complex-structure locus. The conifold locus is well-known to arise from integrating out a charged BPS state, and so the similarities suggest that the K-point also arises from integrating out a BPS state. We develop such an interpretation, finding that it corresponds to a BPS state which is extremely light, whose mass in Planck units is doubly-exponentially small in the distance to the K-point. The state behaves as if it had complex charges, or as if it couples to the self-dual and anti self-dual parts of the graviphoton differently. Assuming such an integrating-out scenario is indeed the correct physics for the K-point, we discuss the implications for our understanding of infinite distances in moduli space and for the Swampland Distance Conjecture.

On the K-point in moduli space

The fundamental theorem in renormalization group flows in two dimensions is the $\textit{c}$-theorem, which dictates that the number of degrees of freedom must decrease monotonically along the renormalization group flow. The $\textit{k}$-theorem claims that the number of charged degrees of freedom also decreases monotonically. Here, $\textit{k}$ is the current central charge defined by the two-point function of the current. A recent derivation of the c-theorem by Hartman and Mathys, which uses the three-point function sum rule and the positivity of the averaged null energy (ANE) operator, motivates us to seek a similar proof of the $\textit{k}$-theorem. In the case of the $\textit{k}$-theorem, the partial contact terms need to be taken into consideration. While ignoring the partial contact terms yields contradictory results, our careful analysis incorporating them leads to the correct sum rule and a complete proof based on the positivity of the ANE operator.
