Symmetry studies represent one of the most promising frontiers in particle physics research. This investigation focuses on exploring P and $\rm CP $ symmetries in the charm system through the measurement of asymmetry decay parameters in the three-body decay of $ \Xi_c^{+} $ . By incorporating electron and positron beam polarization effects and utilizing the helicity formalism, we characterize the decay of $ \Xi_c^{+} $ and its secondary hyperons through asymmetry decay parameters. The complete angular distribution formula for these decays is systematically derived. Our study evaluates the sensitivity of the asymmetry parameters for the $ \Xi_c^{+} \to \Xi^{-}\pi^{+}\pi^{+} $ decay channel under various data sample sizes and beam polarization scenarios. The findings establish a robust theoretical framework for future experimental studies at the Super Tau-Charm Facility, providing valuable insights for symmetry investigations in the charm sector.

Study of P and CP symmetries in ${ \boldsymbol\Xi^{\bf +}_{\boldsymbol c}\rightarrow \boldsymbol\Xi^-\boldsymbol\pi^+\boldsymbol\pi^+ }$ at electron-positron collider

The <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mi>p</mi></mrow></math> elastic scattering process is studied, using an effective Lagrangian approach that incorporates the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>s</mi></math>-, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>u</mi></math>-, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>t</mi></math>-channel amplitudes, including <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><msup><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mrow><mo>+</mo><mo>+</mo></mrow></msup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>1232</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow><mo>,</mo><mo> </mo><mrow><msup><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>1232</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow></math>, neutron, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msup><mi>ρ</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></math> contributions. By constructing the spin-density matrices from the scattering amplitudes, the von Neumann (entanglement) entropy is derived and associated with the spin degrees of freedom of the initial and final state particles. The entropy is computed by performing a partial trace over the spin subsystems, and its behavior is analyzed as a function of the center-of-mass energy <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>W</mi></math> and scattering angle <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>θ</mi></math>. It is found that entropy exhibits nontrivial angular and energy dependences, reflecting the interplay among resonance contributions and background amplitudes. In particular, the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msup><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mrow><mo>+</mo><mo>+</mo></mrow></msup></math> region shows relatively low entanglement, suggesting spin coherence dominated by the specific resonant contribution, while the background contributions increase entropy due to mixed spin configurations. These results indicate that entanglement entropy can serve as a novel probe into the quantum structure of hadronic scattering amplitudes, providing complementary insights beyond conventional cross-section analyses.

Entanglement entropy for <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mi>p</mi></mrow></math> elastic scattering using a spin-density matrix

The small-<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>x</mi></math> regime remains a key testing ground for perturbative QCD and future lepton-hadron collider physics. We demonstrate that the long-standing <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo>∼</mo><mn>30</mn><mo>%</mo></math> spread among global next-to-next-to-leading-order parton distribution functions (PDFs) for heavy-flavor parton densities at small <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>x</mi></math> has now converged below <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mo>≈</mo><mn>17</mn><mo>%</mo></math>. Using the latest nnpdf4.0, ct18, and msht20 sets, we quantify a maximal relative deviation of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Δ</mi><mi>max</mi></msub><mo>≃</mo><mn>16.8</mn><mo>%</mo></math> at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>x</mi><mo>=</mo><msup><mn>10</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>6</mn></mrow></msup></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>Q</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>100</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></math>. This convergence, further stabilized by consistent <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>α</mi><mi>s</mi></msub></math> and scale variations, marks a new precision frontier for the heavy-flavor sector. We evaluate the phenomenological impact for heavy-quark electroproduction at future <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>e</mi><mi>p</mi></math> colliders (LHeC and FCC–eh), showing that PDF-driven cross section uncertainties for <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup><mi>c</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>c</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>X</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi>e</mi><mo>−</mo></msup><mi>b</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>b</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>X</mi></math> have been reduced by nearly a factor of 2 compared to 2013 estimates.

Convergence of heavy-flavor parton distribution functions at small <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>x</mi></math> and its impact on future <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>e</mi><mi>p</mi></math> colliders

We investigate a scale-invariant general two-Higgs-doublet model with explicit <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> violation. Using the Gildener-Weinberg method, we analyze the Higgs mass spectrum and couplings at the one-loop level, focusing on <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> violation originating from both the Higgs potential and the Yukawa sector. We show that, due to the flatness condition, both <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math>-even and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math>-odd mixings between the 125 GeV Higgs boson and the heavier Higgs states arise only radiatively. As a result, the Higgs couplings to gauge bosons and fermions remain Standard Model-like, in agreement with current LHC constraints. We also find that the magnitude of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> violation from the Higgs potential depends on the new complex Yukawa couplings and heavy Higgs masses, due to the flatness condition. In the case where only an additional top Yukawa coupling (<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>ρ</mi><mrow><mi>t</mi><mi>t</mi></mrow></msub></math>) is present, the electron electric dipole moment is directly proportional to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>Im</mi><msubsup><mi>ρ</mi><mrow><mi>t</mi><mi>t</mi></mrow><mn>2</mn></msubsup></math>. Furthermore, a nontrivial cancellation region can occur for a specific Higgs mass spectrum. We extend our analysis to scenarios with an additional complex electron Yukawa coupling, identifying the conditions under which the electron electric dipole moment is suppressed or vanishes.

We consider the double parton scattering (DPS) initiated by direct photons in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>γ</mi><mi>p</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>γ</mi><mi>A</mi></math> collisions. We extend the previously known results for photoproduction to the case of electroproduction with nonzero photon virtuality <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>Q</mi><mn>2</mn></msup></math>, and then consider the DPS for both photo and electroproduction for HERA and EIC (electron ion collider) kinematics. The number of DPS events at the EIC is shown to be of the same order as in HERA and is even larger, with increase in luminosity compensating the decrease of the center-of-mass energy.

Double parton interactions initiated by direct photons in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>γ</mi><mi>p</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>γ</mi><mi>A</mi></math> collisions revisited

A generalization of the phenomenological blast-wave-Tsallis-power model, recently proposed by the author for the hadrons' transverse momentum (<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msub><mi>p</mi><mtext>T</mtext></msub></math>) spectra measured at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), is developed to also describe the hadrons' <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msub><mi>p</mi><mtext>T</mtext></msub></math>-differential elliptic flow coefficients <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msub><mi>v</mi><mn>2</mn></msub></math> in identical nuclei collisions of different centralities. The model describes well the available data on <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msub><mi>p</mi><mtext>T</mtext></msub></math> spectra and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msub><mi>v</mi><mn>2</mn></msub></math> for any <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msub><mi>p</mi><mtext>T</mtext></msub></math> of various particles, from pions to charmonia, in Pb-Pb collisions at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><msqrt><msub><mi>s</mi><mrow><mi>N</mi><mi>N</mi></mrow></msub></msqrt><mo>=</mo></mrow></math> 2.76 and 5.02 TeV and in Xe-Xe collisions at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><msqrt><msub><mi>s</mi><mrow><mi>N</mi><mi>N</mi></mrow></msub></msqrt><mo>=</mo></mrow></math> 5.44 TeV. Also, predictions for OO collisions at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><msqrt><msub><mi>s</mi><mrow><mi>N</mi><mi>N</mi></mrow></msub></msqrt><mo>=</mo></mrow></math> 5.36 TeV are given. While the model is mainly targeting the energies available at the LHC, it also works at much lower energies available at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider.

Using the QCD sum rule method, we investigate the mass splitting for the spin-orbit partner states of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>2012</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> baryon assuming that it is a <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>P</mi></math>-wave excitation with <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>J</mi><mi>P</mi></msup><mo>=</mo><mn>3</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup></math>. This study is an extension of the previous work [N. Su et al.<a href="http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.110.034007">Phys. Rev. D 110, 034007 (2024)</a>] in which the masses of these states were estimated with uncertainties too large to extract the reliable mass splitting. In the present study, by directly formulating a sum rule for the mass splitting, we obtain an improved prediction, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>δ</mi><mi>M</mi><mo>=</mo><msub><mi>M</mi><mrow><mn>3</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup></mrow></msub><mo>−</mo><msub><mi>M</mi><mrow><mn>1</mn><mo>/</mo><msup><mn>2</mn><mo>−</mo></msup></mrow></msub><mo>=</mo><mo>−</mo><msubsup><mn>18.0</mn><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>17.1</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>+</mo><mn>33.6</mn></mrow></msubsup><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>MeV</mi></math>. This result provides a more quantitative insight into the spectrum of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>P</mi></math>-wave <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi></math> baryons and serves as a useful reference for future experiments.

Improved prediction of the mass splitting for <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>P</mi></mrow></math>-wave <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi mathvariant="normal">Ω</mi></math> baryons

In the present study, we calculate the multipole moments such as the magnetic dipole moment $$G_{M_1}$$ , electric quadrupole moment $$G_{E_2}$$ , and magnetic octopole moment $$G_{M_3}$$ of spin-3/2 doubly heavy baryons within the light cone QCD sum rules. We compare our results on magnetic dipole moments with results existing in the literature. The results obtained in the present work may be useful for a deeper understanding of the properties of doubly heavy baryons as well as in the analysis of their strong and electromagnetic decays.

The STAR experiment reports new, high-precision measurements of the transverse single-spin asymmetries for <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>±</mo></msup></math> within jets, namely the Collins asymmetries, from transversely polarized <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy="false">↑</mo></msup><mi>p</mi></math> collisions at <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msqrt><mrow><mi>s</mi></mrow></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>510</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></mrow></math>. The energy-scaled distribution of jet transverse momentum, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msub><mrow><mi>x</mi></mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">T</mi></mrow></msub><mo>=</mo><mn>2</mn><msub><mrow><mi>p</mi></mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant="normal">T</mi><mo>,</mo><mtext>jet</mtext></mrow></msub><mo>/</mo><msqrt><mrow><mi>s</mi></mrow></msqrt></mrow></math>, shows a remarkable consistency for Collins asymmetries of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>π</mi><mo>±</mo></msup></math> in jets between <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msqrt><mi>s</mi></msqrt><mo>=</mo><mn>200</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>GeV</mi></math> and 510 GeV. This indicates that the Collins asymmetries are nearly energy independent, with, at most, a very weak scale dependence in <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy="false">↑</mo></msup><mi>p</mi></math> collisions. These results extend to high-momentum scales (<math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>Q</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup><mo>≤</mo><mn>3400</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><msup><mrow><mi>GeV</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math>) and enable unique tests of evolution and universality in the transverse-momentum-dependent formalism, thus providing important constraints for the Collins fragmentation functions.
