We investigate the sensitivities of the liquid scintillator counter (LSC) at Yemilab and JUNO to solar neutrino oscillation parameters, focusing on <math><msub><mi>θ</mi><mn>12</mn></msub></math> and <math><mrow><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>21</mn></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msubsup></mrow></math>. We compare the potential of JUNO with LSC at Yemilab utilizing both reactor and solar data in determining those parameters. We find that the solar neutrino data of LSC at Yemilab is highly sensitive to <math><msub><mi>θ</mi><mn>12</mn></msub></math> enabling its determination with a higher precision compared to reactor experiments. Our study also reveals that if <math><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mi>m</mi><mn>21</mn><mn>2</mn></msubsup></math> is larger, with a value close to the best-fit value of KamLAND, JUNO reactor data will have about two times better precision than the reactor LSC at Yemilab. On the other hand, if <math><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mi>m</mi><mn>21</mn><mn>2</mn></msubsup></math> is smaller and closer to the best-fit value of solar neutrino experiments, the precision of the reactor LSC at Yemilab will be better than JUNO.

Exploring solar neutrino oscillation parameters with the liquid scintillator counter at Yemilab with a comparison to JUNO

Introduction of electric field in the D-brane worldvolume induces a horizon in the open string geometry perceived by the brane fluctuations. We study the holographic entanglement entropy (HEE) and subregion complexity (HSC) in these asymptotically AdS geometries in three, four and five dimensions aiming to capture these quantities in the flavor sector introduced by the D-branes. Both the strip and spherical subregions have been considered. We show that the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy associated with the open string horizon, which earlier failed to reproduce the thermal entropy in the boundary, now precisely matches with the entanglement entropy at high temperatures. We check the validity of embedding function theorem while computing the HEE and attempt to reproduce the first law of entanglement thermodynamics, at least at leading order. On the basis of obtained results, we also reflect upon consequences of applying Ryu-Takayanagi proposal on these non-Einstein geometries.

HEE and HSC for flavors: perturbative structure in open string geometries

We construct holographic Janus solutions, which describe a conformal interface in the theory of M2-branes, in four-dimensional gauged supergravities using a perturbative method. In particular, we study three Einstein-scalar systems and their BPS equations, which are derived by Bobev, Pilch, and Warner (2014). The actions of our interest are all consistent truncations of 
					 supergravity, chosen to be invariant under 
					, 
					, and 
					 symmetry subgroups of 
					. The utility of our semi-analytic result is illustrated by the calculation of minimal area surface and the associated holographic entanglement entropy.

Re-visiting supersymmetric Janus solutions: a perturbative construction Supported by a research grant from Kyung Hee University in 2016 (KHU-20160698)

There is a well-known <math><mrow><mn>2</mn><mi>σ</mi></mrow></math> tension in the measurements of the solar <math><mrow><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> between KamLAND and SNO/Super-KamioKANDE. Precise determination of the solar <math><mrow><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> is especially important in connection with current and future long baseline <math><mi>C</mi><mi>P</mi></math> violation measurements. Seo and Parke [Phys. Rev. D 99, 033012 (2019)] points out that currently running short baseline reactor neutrino experiments, Daya Bay and RENO, can also constrain solar <math><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mi>m</mi><mn>2</mn></msup></math> value as demonstrated by a GLoBES simulation with a limited systematic uncertainty consideration. In this work, the publicly available data, from Daya Bay (1958 days) and RENO (2200 days) are used to constrain the solar <math><mrow><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math>. Verification of our method through <math><mrow><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mi>e</mi><mi>e</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msubsup></mrow></math> and <math><mrow><msup><mrow><mi>sin</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup><msub><mrow><mi>θ</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>13</mn></mrow></msub></mrow></math> measurements is discussed in Appendix A. Using this verified method, reasonable constraints on the solar <math><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mi>m</mi><mn>2</mn></msup></math> are obtained using above Daya Bay and RENO data, both individually and combined. We find that the combined data of Daya Bay and RENO set an upper limit on the solar <math><mrow><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> of <math><mrow><mn>18</mn><mo>×</mo><msup><mrow><mn>10</mn></mrow><mrow><mo>−</mo><mn>5</mn></mrow></msup><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><msup><mrow><mi>eV</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> at the 95% C.L., including both systematic and statistical uncertainties. This constraint is slightly more than twice the KamLAND value. As this combined result is still statistics limited, even though driven by Daya Bay data, the constraint will improve with the additional running of this experiment.

Constraint on the solar <math><mrow><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mrow><mi>m</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>2</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> using 4000 days of short baseline reactor neutrino data

We demonstrate that the currently running short baseline reactor experiments, especially Daya Bay, can put a significant upper bound on <math><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mi>m</mi><mn>21</mn><mn>2</mn></msubsup></math>. This novel approach to determining <math><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mi>m</mi><mn>21</mn><mn>2</mn></msubsup></math> can be performed with the current data of both Daya Bay and RENO and provides additional information on <math><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mi>m</mi><mn>21</mn><mn>2</mn></msubsup></math> in a different <math><mi>L</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>E</mi></math> range (<math><mrow><mo>∼</mo><mn>0.5</mn><mtext> </mtext><mtext> </mtext><mi>km</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>MeV</mi></mrow></math>) for an important consistency check on the 3 flavor massive neutrino paradigm. Upper limits by Daya Bay and RENO and a possible lower limit from Daya Bay, before the end of 2020, will be the only new information on this important quantity until the medium baseline reactor experiment, JUNO, gives a very precise measurement in the middle of the next decade. In this study <math><msub><mi>θ</mi><mn>12</mn></msub></math> value is fixed since its impact on the <math><mi>Δ</mi><msubsup><mi>m</mi><mn>21</mn><mn>2</mn></msubsup></math> measurement is relatively small as discussed in the Appendix.

Constraints on the solar <math><mi>Δ</mi><msup><mi>m</mi><mn>2</mn></msup></math> using Daya Bay and RENO data

In Ref. (GAMBIT Collaboration: Athron et. al., Eur. Phys. J. C. arXiv:1705.07908 , 2017 ) we introduced the global-fitting framework GAMBIT. In this addendum, we describe a new minor version increment of this package. GAMBIT1.1 includes full support for Mathematica backends, which we describe in some detail here. As an example, we backend SUSYHD Â (Vega and Villadoro, JHEP 07:159, 2015 ), which calculates the mass of the Higgs boson in the MSSM from effective field theory. We also describe updated likelihoods in PrecisionBit and DarkBit, and updated decay data included in DecayBit.

GAMBIT: the global and modular beyond-the-standard-model inference tool

We describe the open-source global fitting package GAMBIT: the Global And Modular Beyond-the-Standard-Model Inference Tool. GAMBIT combines extensive calculations of observables and likelihoods in particle and astroparticle physics with a hierarchical model database, advanced tools for automatically building analyses of essentially any model, a flexible and powerful system for interfacing to external codes, a suite of different statistical methods and parameter scanning algorithms, and a host of other utilities designed to make scans faster, safer and more easily-extendible than in the past. Here we give a detailed description of the framework, its design and motivation, and the current models and other specific components presently implemented in GAMBIT. Accompanying papers deal with individual modules and present first GAMBIT results. GAMBIT can be downloaded from gambit.hepforge.org .
