This study investigates the ultraviolet realization of semileptonic four-fermion operator $ O_{ledq}^{\alpha \beta 11} $ that incorporates Majorana dark matter (DM) in both lepton-flavor-conserving (LFC) and lepton-flavor-violating (LFV) scenarios at the one-loop level via box diagram, thereby effectively alleviating the lower bounds on the new physics scale. In addition, we investigate the interplay between model-independent constraints on the Wilson coefficients and DM direct detection, relic density, and collider searches in the context of fermion portal DM model with two mediators. We found that both the projected future constraint on the LFC Wilson coefficient $ C_{ledq}^{2211}/\Lambda^2 \lt $ $ (12.3\; \text{TeV})^{-2} $ from the measurements of neutrino non-standard interaction in the next-generation neutrino oscillation experiments, and the LFV constraint $ C_{ledq}^{1211}/\Lambda^2 \lt \left(2.2\times 10^3\; \text{TeV} \right)^{-2} $ from ongoing charged-lepton-flavor-violation searches, provide a complementary exploration of the parameter space encompassing the DM and scalar masses. With a colored mediator mass of approximately $ 2\; \text{TeV} $ , the sensitivity of the indirect constraints on the four-fermion operator can surpass those of collider searches and DM direct detection, in scenarios where the masses of the DM and scalar are close. By ensuring the correct DM relic density, however, we find that the collider searches and DM direct detection are more sensitive to the electroweak-scale DM and scalar than indirect constraints.

Generalised spin structures are necessary for placing fermions on manifolds that do not admit a standard spin structure. This is especially relevant in a dimensional reduction on such a manifold, which can then be compensated by using fermions that are appropriately charged under some Maxwell or Yang-Mills field defined on the internal manifold. A well known example in the physics literature is $$ {\mathbbm{CP}}^2 $$ , which has four real dimensions and is the coset SU(3)/U(2). In this paper we focus on a five-dimensional coset space, namely the Wu manifold SU(3)/SO(3) , where SO(3) is maximal in SU(3). Intriguingly, the Wu manifold does not admit a spin structure or spin structure, it does admit a spin structure. We provide a physical interpretation of the spin structure by considering spinors that are coupled to an SO(3) Yang-Mills field defined on the Wu manifold, but which carry half-integer “isospin,” thereby canceling the minus sign in the holonomy for uncharged spinors that provides the original obstruction to an ordinary spin structure. We also construct a gauge-covariantly constant spinor in the Wu manifold, and we show how this can be employed in order to construct spin spinor harmonics from scalar harmonics. We provide a very explicit construction of all the scalar and spin harmonics. In a follow-up paper, we shall employ the results we obtain here in order to discuss dimensional reductions and consistent reductions on the Wu manifold.

Spin $\textit{h}$ structure, scalar and charged spinor eigenfunctions on the SU(3)/SO(3) Wu manifold

In this paper, we construct an explicit rephasing transformation that converts an arbitrary unitary mixing matrix into the Fritzsch–Xing (FX) parametrization, which is obtained by trivializing arguments of the matrix elements in the third row and third column. We further analyze rephasing invariant structure of the FX phase <italic>&#948;</italic> <inf>FX</inf> under an approximation <math altimg='si1.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>U</mi><mrow><mn>13</mn></mrow><mi>e</mi></msubsup><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>=</mo><mn>0</mn></mrow></math>, where the 1&#8211;3 element of the diagonalization matrix of charged leptons <italic>Ue</italic> is neglected. With an additional approximation <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>U</mi><mrow><mn>23</mn></mrow><mi>e</mi></msubsup><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>=</mo><mn>0</mn></mrow></math>, the FX phase becomes highly simplified, reducing to a sum of the neutrino-intrinsic FX phase <math altimg='si3.svg'><msubsup><mi>&#948;</mi><mrow><mrow><mi mathvariant='normal'>F</mi></mrow><mi>X</mi></mrow><mi>&#957;</mi></msubsup></math> and the contribution from the relative phase <math altimg='si4.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>&#961;</mi><mn>1</mn><mo>&#8242;</mo></msubsup><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>&#8722;</mo><msubsup><mi>&#961;</mi><mn>2</mn><mo>&#8242;</mo></msubsup></mrow></math> between the lighter 1-2 generations. The phase <italic>&#948;</italic> <inf>FX</inf> for finite <math altimg='si5.svg'><msubsup><mi>U</mi><mrow><mn>23</mn></mrow><mi>e</mi></msubsup></math> is understood as a generalization of the compact expression. This result covers almost all perturbative calculations of CP phases for the CKM and MNS matrices with hierarchical charged fermions.

Rephasing invariant structure of CP phase in Fritzsch–Xing parametrization for simplified mixing matrices

Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) is the fundamental theory describing strong interactions. Owing to asymptotic freedom at short distances, high-energy physical observables can be predicted using perturbative QCD (pQCD) following proper factorization. It has been demonstrated that the conventional renormalization scheme-and-scale ambiguities that appear in fixed-order pQCD series can be eliminated by recursively applying the renormalization group equation, aided by the principle of maximum conformality (PMC). To extend the predictive power of pQCD, we still face the challenge of reliably estimating contributions from unknown higher-order (UHO) terms. In this paper, we propose a novel method for estimating one-order higher QCD corrections to the perturbative series: using linear regression through the origin (LRTO) to determine the asymptotic form of the pQCD series below the optimal truncation order $$N^*$$ . When the given $$\alpha _s$$ -order is below $$N^*$$ , its perturbative behavior will be dominated by the usual $$\alpha _s$$ -power suppression and the sub-leading corrections are treated as a source of theoretical uncertainty. This approach enables a quantitative assessment of the series convergence and derives estimate for unknown higher-order contributions. To illustrate this method, we apply it to the important ratio $$R_\tau $$ which has been calculated up to four-loop QCD corrections. Our results show that the LRTO method yields reliable estimates of the UHO terms, demonstrating its own reliability and significant predictive power for such estimations. In particular, we find that the scale-invariant, more rapidly convergent PMC series exhibits better predictive power – along with greater stability and reliability – compared to the initial scale-dependent pQCD series.

A new method for estimating unknown one-order higher QCD corrections to the perturbative series using the linear regression through the origin

Motivated by the observation of the doubly charmed tetraquark $ T_{cc}(3875)^+ $ , we present a systematic study of doubly heavy tetraquarks ( $ T_{QQ'\bar{q}\bar{q}'} $ ) using heavy antiquark-diquark symmetry (HADS) within a constituent quark model. By calibrating model parameters to known hadron spectra and incorporating the effective mass formula, we predict the masses for 38 ground-state tetraquarks with $ cc $ , $ bb $ , and $ bc $ heavy quark pairs, including the non-strange, single-strange, and double-strange configurations with quantum numbers $ J^P = 0^+, 1^+ $ and $ 2^+ $ . Notably, we identify several stable states below the relevant meson-meson thresholds, particularly in the $ bb\bar{q}\bar{q}' $ sector. The explicit connection between the doubly heavy tetraquark and the heavy baryon spectra through HADS reduces model dependence and reveals the fundamental systematics in the heavy-quark hadron landscape.

NNLO QCD corrections for the pion electromagnetic form factor at large momentum transfer have been recently performed in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 132, 201901 (2024); Phys. Rev. Lett. 134, 221901 (2025)], revealing that the NLO and NNLO contributions are positive and sizeable. Unfortunately, these predictions have been obtained using the conventional scale-setting method and thus they are plagued by large renormalization scale ambiguities. In this paper, we analyze the pion electromagnetic form factor at NNLO by applying the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC), which is introduced with the aim of resolving renormalization scheme and scale ambiguities. By applying the PMC, a more precise perturbative QCD (pQCD) prediction for the pion EMFF $$Q^2F_\pi (Q^2)$$ without conventional renormalization scale ambiguity can be achieved. This improved pQCD prediction is highly beneficial for the precise determination of the pion light-cone distribution amplitude. We then conduct a comprehensive comparison between theoretical predictions and experimental measurements of the pion EMFF $$Q^2F_\pi (Q^2)$$ .

Analysis of the pion electromagnetic form factor with next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections

This paper presents a systematic study of hyperon non-leptonic two-body decays induced by light quark transitions, particularly the $ s \rightarrow u\bar{u}d $ process, within the framework of $\textit{SU}$(3) flavor symmetry. The effective weak Hamiltonian is decomposed into irreducible $\textit{SU}$(3) representations, including the 27-plet and octet components, and applied to analyze decays of octet and decuplet baryons and charmed baryons. Both the irreducible representation amplitude (IRA) approach and the topological diagrammatic analysis (TDA) are employed to construct decay amplitudes and constrain the parameter space. $\textit{SU}$(3) symmetry-breaking effects arising from the strange quark mass are incorporated systematically. A global fit to current experimental data allows us to extract form factors and predict branching ratios and asymmetry parameters for several decay channels. Our results demonstrate the predictive power of $\textit{SU}$(3) flavor symmetry while highlighting significant symmetry-breaking effects, especially in amplitudes related to the 27-plet. Notably, the $ \Sigma^+ \rightarrow p\pi^0 $ decay channel exhibits a deviation exceeding $ 1\sigma $ from experimental measurements, suggesting the possible presence of new decay mechanisms or contributions beyond the Standard Model. Besides, we also evaluate the size of symmetry breaking. However, the large uncertainty of the experimental data makes it difficult to precisely determine the value of symmetry breaking. We strongly recommend that future experimental efforts aim to reduce the measurement uncertainties, especially for the processes $ \Lambda^0\to p\pi^- $ and $ \Lambda^0\to n\pi^0 $ , which have larger experimental errors compared to other data and play an important role in determining the symmetry breaking parameter. This study provides a systematic framework for future tests of the Standard Model and the search for new physics in hyperon decays.

In this paper, we take into account the intrinsic charm and gluonic contents into the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><mi>η</mi><mo>−</mo><msup><mrow><mi>η</mi></mrow><mrow><mo>′</mo></mrow></msup></mrow></math> mixing scheme and formulate the tetramixing <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>η</mi><mo>−</mo><msup><mi>η</mi><mo>′</mo></msup><mo>−</mo><mi>G</mi><mo>−</mo><msub><mi>η</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math> to study the mixing properties of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>η</mi><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mo>′</mo><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></msup></math> mesons. Using the newly derived mixing parameters, we calculate the transition form factors (TFFs) of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo>/</mo><msup><mi>D</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo>/</mo><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi>η</mi><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mo>′</mo><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></msup></math> within the quantum chromodynamics (QCD) light-cone sum rules up to next-to-leading order QCD corrections and twist-4 contributions. Using the extrapolated TFFs, we then calculate the decay widths and branching fractions of the semileptonic decays <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo>/</mo><msup><mi>D</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><mo>/</mo><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><msup><mi>η</mi><mrow><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mo>′</mo><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></msup><msup><mo>ℓ</mo><mo>+</mo></msup><msub><mi>ν</mi><mo>ℓ</mo></msub></math>. Our results are consistent with the recent Belle and BES-III measurements within reasonable errors.

We discuss the landscape of flavor physics at the Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC), based on the nominal luminosity outlined in its Technical Design Report. The CEPC is designed to operate in multiple modes to address a variety of tasks. At the $\textit{Z}$ pole, the expected production of 4 Tera $\textit{Z}$ bosons will provide unique and highly precise measurements of $\textit{Z}$ boson couplings, while the substantial number of boosted heavy-flavored quarks and leptons produced in clean $\textit{Z}$ decays will facilitate investigations into their flavor physics with unprecedented precision. We investigate the prospects of measuring various physics benchmarks and discuss their implications for particle theories and phenomenological models. Our studies indicate that, with its highlighted advantages and anticipated excellent detector performance, the CEPC can explore beauty and $\textit{τ}$ physics in ways that are superior to or complementary with the Belle II and Large-Hadron-Collider-beauty experiments, potentially enabling the detection of new physics at energy scales of 10 TeV and above. This potential also extends to the observation of yet-to-be-discovered rare and exotic processes, as well as testing fundamental principles such as lepton flavor universality, lepton and baryon number conservation, etc., making the CEPC a vibrant platform for flavor physics research. The $\textit{WW}$ threshold scan, Higgs-factory operation and top-pair productions of the CEPC further enhance its merits in this regard, especially for measuring the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements, and Flavor-Changing-Neutral-Current physics of Higgs boson and top quarks. We outline the requirements for detector performance and considerations for future development to achieve the anticipated scientific goals. The role of machine learning for innovative detector design and advanced reconstruction algorithms is also stressed. The CEPC flavor physics program not only develops new capabilities for exploring flavor physics beyond existing projects but also enriches the physics opportunities of this machine. It should be remarked that, given the richness of the CEPC flavor physics, this manuscript is not meant to be a comprehensive survey, but rather an investigation of representative cases. Uncovering the full potential of flavor physics at the CEPC will require further dedicated explorations in the future.

The isospin-singlet scalar meson <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>f</mi><mn>0</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>980</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> is hypothesized to consist of two energy eigenstates, forming a mixture of <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mfrac><mn>1</mn><msqrt><mn>2</mn></msqrt></mfrac><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>u</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>u</mi><mo>+</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>d</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>d</mi><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mover accent="true"><mi>s</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>s</mi></math>.
