We present a fit of the transverse momentum spectrum for Drell-Yan and semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering data, based on transverse momentum dependent (TMD) factorization at N LL accuracy. Our analysis shows good agreement with the data and confirms the findings of previous studies. Based on this, we extract the unpolarized TMD parton distribution functions, the TMD fragmentation functions, and the Collins-Soper kernel. Compared to earlier works, our study incorporates several improvements, including large-$\textit{x}$ resummation, flavor and fragmentation function dependence, among others. Additionally, we supplement our extraction with an analysis of the transverse momentum moments of the extracted distributions.

Determination of unpolarized TMD distributions from the fit of Drell-Yan and SIDIS data at N

We present partonic contributions to the inclusive gluon-fusion Higgs boson and Drell-Yan production cross sections at Hadron colliders at next-to-next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N LO). Specifically, we compute contributions due to the interference of one-loop amplitudes with two-loop amplitudes with three QCD partons and the Higgs boson or a virtual photon. Our result is in the form of a Laurent expansion in the dimensional regulator $\textit{ϵ}$, the coefficients of which are analytic functions in the ratio of the Higgs boson or virtual photon mass to the partonic center-of-mass energy. Furthermore, we introduce and deploy a new package implemented in Mathematica, Cifar (“Color Invariant Feynman Amplitude Reducer”), to express color factors in terms of general Casimir invariants of simple compact Lie algebras.

RVV×V: interference contributions to inclusive Higgs boson and Drell-Yan production at N

We investigate nuclear modification and the universality of short-range correlation (SRC) in pion-induced Drell–Yan process. Employing nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDFs) and pion PDFs, the ratio of differential cross sections of different nuclei relative to the free nucleon is presented. A kind of universal modification function was proposed which would provide nontrivial tests of SRC universality on the platform of pion-induced Drell–Yan. This work improves our understanding of nuclear structure and strong interactions.

Test for universality of short-range correlations in pion-induced Drell–Yan process

We study energy transport in a conformal junction connecting three 2D conformal field theories using the AdS/CFT correspondence. The holographic dual consists of three AdS spacetimes joined along the worldsheet of a tensile string anchored at the junction. Within a specific range of string tension, where the bulk solution is uniquely determined, we find that all energy reflection and transmission coefficients vary monotonically with the string tension. Notably, the total energy transmission, which quantifies the energy flux from one CFT through the junction, is bounded above by the effective central charge associated with both the CFTs and the junction. Results for energy transport in conformal interfaces are recovered in a special limit. Furthermore, we extend our analysis to junctions connecting $\textit{N}$ 2D CFTs.

Energy transport in holographic junctions

Rotating black holes are prevalent in astrophysical observations, and a Kerr-like solution that incorporates quantum gravity effects is essential for constructing realistic models. In this work, we analyze the geodesic motion of massive particles in a Kerr-like polymer spacetime, incorporating quantum corrections via a parameter $$A_\lambda $$ . We demonstrate that increasing $$A_\lambda $$ allows for additional orbital evolution in extreme mass ratio inspiral (EMRI) systems before merging. Our results show that the radii, energy, and angular momentum of both the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) and marginal circular orbit (MCO) decrease as $$A_\lambda $$ increases. Furthermore, when the primary object becomes a wormhole, both prograde ISCO and MCO can intersect the transition surface at the wormhole throat and vanish as $$A_\lambda $$ grows. Additionally, we find that the eccentricity of periodic geodesic motion decreases monotonically with increasing $$A_\lambda $$ . Finally, we explore the variation of the rational number that characterizes periodic motion and highlight the influence of the quantum parameter on different types of periodic orbits, classified by a set of integers associated with the rational number. This work contributes to the understanding of quantum gravity effects and offers potential observational signatures, particularly in the study of EMRIs.

Quantum corrected geodesic motion in polymer Kerr-like spacetime

<p>We reinterpret the Nieh-Yan (NY) anomaly using holography, finding that the U(1) axial symmetry remains unbroken and the axial current coupling to an external gauge field is conserved. Instead, the anomaly arises from a breakdown of Hodge duality relations between fermion bilinears due to symmetry constraints on one-form currents. We show that the axial response associated with the NY term is distinct from the chiral vortical effect and exhibits a characteristic <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>T</mi><mn>2</mn></msup></math> dependence. Torsion-induced axial transport decouples spin and axial charge dynamics, thereby clarifying the physical significance of the NY anomaly and motivating further field-theoretic and holographic studies.</p>

Thermal response of the Nieh-Yan term

We study the inelastic charmonium ( $ J/\psi $ , $ \psi(2S) $ ) and bottomonium ( $ \Upsilon(nS) $ ) photoproduction and fragmentation processes in $\textit{p}$-$\textit{p}$ and $ \rm Pb$ - $\rm Pb$ collisions at LHC energies, where the ultra-incoherent photon emission is included. Using the NRQCD factorization approach, an exact treatment is developed. This approach recovers the Weizsäcker-Williams approximation (WWA) near the $ Q^{2}\sim0 $ region, where the Martin-Ryskin and BCCKL methods are used to avoid double counting. We calculated the $ Q^{2} $ , $\textit{y}$, $\textit{z}$, $ \sqrt{s} $ , and $ p_{T} $ dependent and total cross sections. Inelastic photoproduction and fragmentation were observed to contribute to heavy quarkonium production, particularly at large $ p_{T} $ . In addition, the contribution of the ultra-incoherent photon channel, which increases rapidly with quarkonium mass, is significant and begins to dominate the photoproduction processes for large $ p_{T} $ . We also obtained the complete WWA validity scopes of inelastic heavy quarkonium photoproduction in heavy-ion collisions. The WWA had high accuracy at high energies and for $\rm Pb $ - $\rm Pb $ collisions. However, current photon spectra are derived beyond the WWA scope, and double counting can occur when considering different channels simultaneously.

The neutrino floor, a theoretical sensitivity limit for dark matter (DM) direct detection, is being redefined as the boundary of a dynamic ''neutrino fog,'' where neutrino signals become inevitable, obscuring DM detection due to statistical and systematic uncertainties. This study provides the first site-specific analysis of the neutrino floor at China Jinping Underground Laboratory (CJPL), leveraging its unique geographic and environmental characteristics. We quantify how CJPL’s suppressed atmospheric neutrino flux (approximately 30% lower than that of Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS)) reshapes the neutrino floor, thereby enabling improved sensitivity to high-mass WIMPs (mass > 10 GeV). Using a gradient-based framework, we derive the CJPL’s neutrino floor and estimate the detection prospects for the PandaX-xT experiment. Our results demonstrate that a 500 tonne-year exposure with PandaX-xT could reach the floor, probing spin independent cross-sections down to $ \sigma_{n}\sim 3\times 10^{-49}\; {\rm{cm}}^2$ at a DM mass of 70 GeV/$\textit{c}$ $^{2}$.

We study energy transport in a system of two dimensional conformal field theories exchanging energy across a non-conformal interface involving a localised scalar operator, using holographic duality. By imposing the sourceless boundary condition, or equivalently, enforcing energy conservation at the interface, we show that the sum of the transmission and reflection coefficients is equal to one. Unlike conformal interfaces, we find that both the energy transmission and reflection coefficients are generally complex and frequency dependent. When the interface brane connects two distinct AdS geometries, the transmission coefficient approaches the value expected for a conformal interface in the UV regime at high frequencies and in the IR regime at low frequencies. In the intermediate frequency range, the transmission coefficient may exhibit oscillatory behavior. Moreover, we present a nontrivial example of a fully transmissive interface, which exhibits similarities to a topological interface.
