Hadron-hadron interactions, being nonperturbative in nature, play a significant role in addressing phenomenological questions in particle physics. Femtoscopy is a powerful tool in heavy-ion collision experiments, enabling the extraction of hadron-hadron interactions via momentum-correlation functions (CFs). These CFs are typically expressed as a convolution of source functions and hadron-hadron wave functions, with the latter encoding information about the interactions. However, source functions remain poorly constrained and are commonly approximated by a Gaussian form. Reconstructing source functions from experimental correlation data constitutes an 'inverse problem.' To address this, we propose a toy model based on Tikhonov regularization. Using a square-well potential with four distinct strengths, we calculate the CFs for inputs of single Gaussian source functions and mixed Gaussian source functions. The resulting CFs are then used to reconstruct the source functions via Tikhonov regularization. Our results show that the Gaussian source function can be successfully reconstructed, highlighting the potential of this approach for extracting realistic source functions from hadron pairs of interest.

The femtoscopic <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math> correlations are investigated to predict the signature of the not-yet-established <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>X</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3960</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> state reported by the LHCb Collaboration in three scenarios: resonant, virtual, or bound. In the last two scenarios, it might also be identified as the state <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>X</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3930</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>. The formalism employed to generate this structure dynamically is based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation with a general <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>S</mi></math>-wave potential. We investigate how the relevant properties and observables characterizing this state—such as the pole position, scattering length, and effective range—might be affected by variations in the model parameters. The amplitudes encoding the distinct interpretations of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>X</mi><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>3960</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> state are then used as input to calculate the femtoscopic correlation function of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>+</mo></msubsup><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi><mo>−</mo></msubsup></math> pair, which is analyzed and discussed.

This study investigates the ultraviolet realization of semileptonic four-fermion operator $ O_{ledq}^{\alpha \beta 11} $ that incorporates Majorana dark matter (DM) in both lepton-flavor-conserving (LFC) and lepton-flavor-violating (LFV) scenarios at the one-loop level via box diagram, thereby effectively alleviating the lower bounds on the new physics scale. In addition, we investigate the interplay between model-independent constraints on the Wilson coefficients and DM direct detection, relic density, and collider searches in the context of fermion portal DM model with two mediators. We found that both the projected future constraint on the LFC Wilson coefficient $ C_{ledq}^{2211}/\Lambda^2 \lt $ $ (12.3\; \text{TeV})^{-2} $ from the measurements of neutrino non-standard interaction in the next-generation neutrino oscillation experiments, and the LFV constraint $ C_{ledq}^{1211}/\Lambda^2 \lt \left(2.2\times 10^3\; \text{TeV} \right)^{-2} $ from ongoing charged-lepton-flavor-violation searches, provide a complementary exploration of the parameter space encompassing the DM and scalar masses. With a colored mediator mass of approximately $ 2\; \text{TeV} $ , the sensitivity of the indirect constraints on the four-fermion operator can surpass those of collider searches and DM direct detection, in scenarios where the masses of the DM and scalar are close. By ensuring the correct DM relic density, however, we find that the collider searches and DM direct detection are more sensitive to the electroweak-scale DM and scalar than indirect constraints.

Over the past 20 years, many new hadron states have been discovered, but understanding their nature remains a key experimental and theoretical challenge. Recent studies have established that hadron-hadron interactions primarily govern the generation of new hadronic states, with their spectroscopy serving as a powerful tool for probing these interactions and determining the corresponding compositeness. In this work, we study four scenarios to determine the <italic>DK</italic> interaction by reproducing the mass of the <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mi>s</mi><mn>0</mn></mrow><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>2317</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow></math>, i.e., assuming the <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mi>s</mi><mn>0</mn></mrow><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>2317</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow></math> as a <italic>DK</italic> molecule, a mixture of a <italic>DK</italic> molecule and a bare state, a <math altimg='si10.svg'><mrow><mi>D</mi><mi>K</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>&#8722;</mo><msub><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mi>&#951;</mi></mrow></math> molecule, and a mixture of a <math altimg='si10.svg'><mrow><mi>D</mi><mi>K</mi><mo linebreak='goodbreak'>&#8722;</mo><msub><mi>D</mi><mi>s</mi></msub><mi>&#951;</mi></mrow></math> molecule and a bare state. Using the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> interactions derived from these scenarios, we predict the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> correlation functions. Our results demonstrate that the lineshape of the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> correlation function is sensitive to the admixture effects from the coupled-channel <math altimg='si11.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mo>+</mo></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mn>0</mn></msup></mrow></math> and the bare state. Furthermore, we find that the <math altimg='si3.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>+</mo></msup></mrow></math> correlation function can probe the position of the bare state, if such a QCD bare state exists. Using the shallow-bound state candidate <italic>X</italic>(3872) as input, we study the <math altimg='si9.svg'><mrow><msup><mi>D</mi><mn>0</mn></msup><msup><mover accent='true'><mi>D</mi><mo>&#175;</mo></mover><mrow><mo>*</mo><mn>0</mn></mrow></msup></mrow></math> correlation functions. These functions are highly sensitive to short-range dynamics and bare-state admixtures, resulting in clearly distinguishable correlation-function line shapes across different values of compositeness.

Probing the structure of the <math altimg='si2.svg'><mrow><msubsup><mi>D</mi><mrow><mi>s</mi><mn>0</mn></mrow><mo>*</mo></msubsup><mrow><mo>(</mo><mn>2317</mn><mo>)</mo></mrow></mrow></math> and <italic>X</italic>(3872) states through correlation functions

Positive and negative flows of the Chen-Lee-Liu model and its various reductions, including Burgers hierarchy, are formulated within the framework of Riemann-Hilbert-Birkhoff decomposition with the constant grade two generator. Two classes of vacua, namely zero vacuum and constant non-zero vacuum can be realized within a centerless Heisenberg algebra. The tau functions for soliton solutions are obtained by a dressing method and vertex operators are constructed for both types of vacua. We are able to select and classify the soliton solutions in terms of the type of vertices involved. A judicious choice of vertices yields in a closed form a particular set of multi soliton solutions for the Burgers hierarchy. We develop and analyze a class of gauge-Bäcklund transformations that generate further multi soliton solutions from those obtained by dressing method by letting them interact with various integrable defects.

New soliton solutions for Chen-Lee-Liu and Burgers hierarchies and its Bäcklund transformations

Within the framework of Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSEs) and by means of the Multiple Reflection Expansion approximation, we study the finite volume effects on the constituent quark mass in a strong external magnetic field. Since the magnetic field influences the coupling constant, which controls the strength of strong interactions in QCD, we adopt the magnetic-field-dependent running coupling constant in our simulations. The results show that, in addition to the magnetic field, the masses of constituent quarks also have a significant dependence on the volume and the running coupling constant. The model behaves closely to the infinite volume limit for large sizes, but the effect of the finite volume is significant when the system size $\textit{R}$ is about $ 2-6 $ fm. The finite volume effects and the magnetic-field-dependent running coupling constant have considerable influence on the phase transition.

Motivated by the observation of the doubly charmed tetraquark $ T_{cc}(3875)^+ $ , we present a systematic study of doubly heavy tetraquarks ( $ T_{QQ'\bar{q}\bar{q}'} $ ) using heavy antiquark-diquark symmetry (HADS) within a constituent quark model. By calibrating model parameters to known hadron spectra and incorporating the effective mass formula, we predict the masses for 38 ground-state tetraquarks with $ cc $ , $ bb $ , and $ bc $ heavy quark pairs, including the non-strange, single-strange, and double-strange configurations with quantum numbers $ J^P = 0^+, 1^+ $ and $ 2^+ $ . Notably, we identify several stable states below the relevant meson-meson thresholds, particularly in the $ bb\bar{q}\bar{q}' $ sector. The explicit connection between the doubly heavy tetraquark and the heavy baryon spectra through HADS reduces model dependence and reveals the fundamental systematics in the heavy-quark hadron landscape.

Over the past two decades, numerous exotic hadron states have been discovered, yet their underlying nature remains unclear. It is widely acknowledged that understanding hadron-hadron interactions is essential to unraveling their properties. Hadron spectroscopy is a powerful tool for this endeavor, providing rich experimental data that can shed light on exotic systems. Recently, the LHCb experiment analyzed the process <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>B</mi><mo>−</mo></msup><mo stretchy="false">→</mo><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>p</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math> and observed a narrow peak in the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></math> invariant mass spectrum, regarding it as a candidate for a pentaquark. In this work, we extract the coupled-channel <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mo>−</mo><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub><mo>−</mo><msub><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mi>s</mi></msub><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math> potential based on the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>J</mi><mo>/</mo><mi>ψ</mi><mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</mi></math> invariant mass spectrum. Our results indicate the existence of a bound state below the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mover accent="true"><mi>D</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><msub><mi mathvariant="normal">Ξ</mi><mi>c</mi></msub></math> mass threshold, corresponding to the experimentally measured state <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>P</mi><mrow><mi>c</mi><mi>s</mi></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>4338</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math>. We present a comprehensive study of the axial-vector resonance <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> within the unitarized chiral perturbation theory, focusing on its two-pole structure and manifestation in femtoscopic observables. By considering the dominant <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ρ</mi><mi>K</mi></math> and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>π</mi></math> coupled channels, we reproduce the well-established double-pole structure and trace the chiral evolution of both poles as functions of the pion mass, using the vector-meson mass trajectories fitted to lattice-QCD data and experimental values. The lower pole, dominantly coupled to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mi>K</mi><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>π</mi></math>, evolves from an above-threshold resonance to a virtual or bound state with increasing pion mass. In comparison, the higher pole, dominantly coupled to <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ρ</mi><mi>K</mi></math>, moves downward in energy, reflecting the strengthening of the chiral attraction. The influence of the finite vector-meson widths is systematically examined, showing that their inclusion smooths the pole trajectories without altering their qualitative behavior. Furthermore, femtoscopic correlation functions are calculated for all relevant vector-pseudoscalar channels in both charged sectors. The results exhibit distinct resonance and bound-state features consistent with the two-pole dynamics. The weak impact of higher channels, such as <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ω</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math>, <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msup><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover><mo>*</mo></msup><mi>η</mi></math>, and <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mi>ϕ</mi><mover accent="true"><mi>K</mi><mo stretchy="false">¯</mo></mover></math>, confirms that the simplified two-channel treatment captures the essential dynamics of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonance. This study demonstrates that combining chiral extrapolation and femtoscopic correlation analyses provides a powerful and complementary framework for connecting lattice-QCD calculations, chiral effective theory, and experimental measurements, offering new insights into the molecular nature and chiral origin of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><msub><mi>K</mi><mn>1</mn></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></math> resonance.

Chiral evolution and femtoscopic signatures of the <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mrow><msub><mrow><mi>K</mi></mrow><mrow><mn>1</mn></mrow></msub><mo stretchy="false">(</mo><mn>1270</mn><mo stretchy="false">)</mo></mrow></math> resonance

In this study, we investigate the possibility of enhancing the di-jet resonance searches by tagging the final state radiation (FSR) jet using an event-level deep neural network. It is found that solely relying on the 4-momenta of the leading three jets allows the algorithm to achieve good discriminating power that can identify the hardest FSR jet in the signal while rejecting other soft jets. Once the invariant mass is corrected with the tagged FSR jet, the mass resolution of the signal is greatly enhanced, and the sensitivity of the search is also improved by more than 10%. By crafting the input variables carefully, the algorithm introduces minimal mass sculpting for the background, and its applicability extends to a broad mass range. This work proves that FSR jet tagging can potentially enhance di-jet resonance searches, suiting various stages of the physics programmes at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC).
